every team is a contender if you make the Playoffs. Our best basketball is enough, we just need to find some consistency somehow and have less lapses

Dwight was feasting early and getting fouled. Why the Rockets went away from it is anyone's guess.

Our most talented players have very low bbiq and our high bbiq players have very little talent. Trading a few players here and there will not affect the overall culture of the team. Our offense makes every opponent look like they have six players on defense.

The Rockets have played like garbage the entire season...sprinkled with some nice wins. But every game, there are stretch of just BAD basketball. I love this game, I love my city. Rather have watched a lineup of Chuck Hayes, Luis Scola, Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry and Shane Battier...than ever see this kind of basketball. I feel bad for those fans that came to watch Lebron play their home team. I feel bad for the fans that essentially saw 4 quarters of really bad basketball. I feel bad for the national TV announcers who thought it wouldve been prudent for NBA fans to just turn OFF the television in the 4th quarter. I feel bad for the NBA fan that just wanted to watch bball on a Friday night. I feel for the city of Houston. I feel for clutchfans.

These clowns dont deserve respect. They dont deserve much of anything. Its time to make a major change, and bring players here that care about the game.

Actually it does matter. Because if the only reason you win games is due to the opponent missing key players(Utah), the opponent being a sh-tty team(Minnesota), a miracle comeback(Indiana), or your guys hitting over 50% from downtown(Memphis), odds are you're gonna quickly come crashing down and back to reality as the Rockets did tonight.

The problems that have plagued this team all season long reared their ugly heads tonight. Harden's TOs and lackadaisical play, the team's inability to take care of the basketball, the lack of execution on offense, a poor job making free throws or finishing around the rim, players unable to make shots. All on display and frankly the Rockets were lucky to lose only by 14. The Cavs were tired and played pretty lousy themselves.

    Calvin:

People walking by are saying it's gonna be alright.

    WHEN?!

How can you come to this game and not be mentally ready to play basketball?

You can't score more than 70 points?

I know my friends will think I'm on drugs but I'll say it anyways: I still believe in this team. As disappointed as I am and as embarrassed as they should be, I believe in the talent on the team. I've seen them fight from behind to see their talent. Something has gone awry. This is like a final exam and you don't show up. They have to soul search as individuals and as a team. You can't lay an egg like this at home. You just can't do it.

Dwight did what he was supposed to do. Never the less, something is not working when no one else can put the ball in the basket and they don't go inside. There's a problem with that. He's scoring on his own merit and effort. Every now and then he'll get a dunk from a pass from a teammate.

It's time to start looking at areas not being productive. Cleveland did whatever they wanted to do offensively. They called off the dogs. They could have won by 30 tonight.

If you watch what LeBron does, he leads by example. He got everyone involved.

Difference between the Rockets & Cavs is ball movement. Cavs don't care who scores. It's leaving their hands. The open man must get the ball and if he doesn't have the shot, move it. Too much dribbling by everyone. That's bogging down the offense.

So you would rather be a team like Sacramento that misses the Playoffs every year than be on one like us that nearly makes it every year....

That has happened in over 50% of our games where Dwight has had good 1st halfs. They just stop going to him. I want Dwight to stay for our sake. But he doesn't deserve what he has to take on this team. He deserves a winning team or a team in need of one more piece such as him to be a good team. Because this one isn't that team. We might as well have deandre because they don't use dwight.

False. Every team is not a contender.

You are babbling nonsense right now.

Nobody is really giving up on them, not even after that shetty performance.

Folks are angry and could see that, aint nobody giving up when this thread is 50 pages long.

Just chill and they will come back.

This team will win games but not enough games to be a contender.

Basically, Harden needs to play off the ball and let a PG handle it....he needs to stop walking the ball up the court and then dribbling dribbling dribbling

and most importantly....DWIGHT should be getting 15-20 shots a game... if Harden can jack 9'3s he damn well better give Dwight 15-20 shots

These low-energy, low effort games by James are just maddening. He brings the whole team down by himself. If he only did this sporadically against bad teams, it would be more forgivable, but as we've seen, he's just as likely to dog it against a top tier opponent (even in the playoffs) as he is a scrub team. Even worse, he doesn't give much else if he's not scoring - his assists drop off, his turnovers go up, and his defense gets even worse.

I really don't think this team can ever compete for a championship with James as the #1. In order to win with him, we need an alpha leader who brings it every night and demands his teammates to play just as hard (and smart). James just lacks the leadership gene and expecting him to somehow develop it is unrealistic.

We also need a big with a complete game - Dwight and Capella are defense only bigs, DMo is offense only and TJones and Capella are neither. I want a big who can rebound and hit a jump shot (which I think would help Harden on the PnR significantly).
