Not accurately you didn't. Josh Smith WAS better than Jones.....and he still IS better than Jones today. Again, he's a better defender than Jones, better rebounder than Jones, and a better passer than Jones. Have we already forgotten that with Jones starting, we were dead in the water against the Clippers and the second we made the switch to Smith starting, the comeback happened? I mean, I know Jones has his fans and all, but c'mon man. I'm pretty sure some remember that I was VERY against picking Smith up because of what an idiot he had been everywhere he went but I ended up being wrong. Houston was and still is the only place he hasn't been an idiot on the court and the only place he hasn't gotten into it with the coaching staff and been a distraction in the locker room.
Do you really want Joakim Noah? He has become one of the worst offensive players in the NBA. He physically is not a good player anymore. He does do one thing still that we need, which is rebound...... but at what cost? He no longer has lift, his shot is too slow to get off, he is a poor free throw shooter. He doesn't pass like he used to because teams do not respect him offensively.
here we go again but it's pretty much all about your opinion on Jones and always has been. everyone knows that. JS the current player is no where near the player Jones is at the moment. No matter what you try to say that statement is true right now. I couldn't care less about Jones and all that JOF that you like to get into. I'm looking out for what can make this team better regardless of who the player is. It doesn't matter how many times people bring up what happened in that game against the Clips and try to use it as justification. Great it happened but that in no way excuses everything else when it comes to him as a player especially right now.
What the Rockets need to do is get a real quality PF. They haven't had one in literally decades. There is no PF on the team that you feel good about starting.
They may not make a trade today but Morey knows this group has to be split up and bettered before the playoffs. He will make a move(s).
LOL okay, I'll bite, in your opinion in what way is Jones better than Smith? What does he do on the court better?
As of today I'll take TJ over everything JS does. You might want to catch up on the player JS is in LA.
I don't. Not with his injuries and the holes the Rockets have, especially rebounding the ball. Donatas is an NBA rotation player and has some good skills but not to be starting.
Anyone else find this choice of phrasing by codman interesting? "Not even close to being a cancer".. When this thread had nothing to do with lockeroom problems. Maybe its insuniating that theres someone else being a cancer. Or maybe im watching too much sherlock?
Fair enough, I didn't think your opinion was grounded in reality and this ridiculous answer proves it.
that's fine. Ive seen enough of JS this year to know he isn't the player you think he is. The only thing you can bring up is the past
I sort of gleaned that from his statement as well, as if there's a particular "cancerous" player that is being shopped. Lawson?
I was just trying to make a guess as to who Codman was referencing, not advocating the possibility. Joakim Noah's unhappiness at being demoted in Chicago is well known; if there are others not-so-happy, I wouldn't know who they are.
Lawson's salary is 12.4M Noah's salary is 13.4M Chicago could be looking for a PG. So there could be something there.
i haven't seen those posts.....they're implying he doesn't have back pain, and there's some other reason he's not playing?
