Worth reading that again. The Rockets transition game is a key component to the offense. And not "value add." That has to change. Which Morey clearly points out. No question getting better defenders is a plus, but getting quality "half court" players that can execute to surround Harden and Howard is paramount.
Context is everything. The Warriors are just an average team if you take away the illegal screen. The 2000 era Lakers were just an average team if you take away Phil Jackson. Sure, we can sit here and get angry at Morey, but defense in some way shape or form needs to be present at all times. I think that's a fair thing to center a team around.
Defense, transition offense, not good in half court......sounds so familiar. Did he say we're missing Smoove yet?
Winning the Powerball wouldn't be rich enough to buy the team. Morey is never gonna be rich enough to fulfill his dream.
even if he did have the cash, that's not nearly enough. there are dozens up dozens of billionaires queued up and ready to buy nba franchises. but you have to be "approved" by the league office first.
I think the only reason the NBA allows that **** is because it's Steph Curry's team. He's their Great Small Hype to bring the NBA back to its fat, average height fans. I dunno why they try so hard either, it's not like the NFL tries to hide the fact that their players are roided up gladiators. The NBA tried it with Steve Nash, then Ricky Rubio (although that fizzled fast when they realized he would never be able to shoot), now Curry is their powerball winner. His team has carte Blanche to do what it wants to get him open. Disgusting.
I agree with you. The nba is so scripted. Last year, Harden was awarded for flopping, this year not so much. They needed to give Curry a villain.
What is this madness? The NBA's most popular team gets preferential treatment on the court. This could never be! The way the NBA parades Curry around, the way ESPN trips over their dicks for Curry, and yet if you say this you are a hater. Love it.
I hope we do something tomorrow. 5 wins in a row or not, we need change. We won't shoot 40% from the three point line forever. Sad thing is that a player trade is probably not going to cut deep enough in regards to the change needed.
Why are you demanding answers from the GM? He hasn't done any moves so he has nothing to do with the slump or turn around. He's on radio because it's a good thing to praise your players on air. He avoided press during the slump because he doesn't want to have foot in mouth disease later on. What was he supposed to do? Call out Harden for not playing hard on D? Not sure if you guys are actually working or have a chance to be in contact with the press. Putting your company or team on blast in public isn't exactly the best way to fix your issues.
