Am more interested in the education than the pursuit of a pro sports career for my kid. Being a recruitable Asian-American athlete would help them fill the AA quota while also adding to their diversity goals in athletics. Not sure if my kid will be a recruiting target (she plays soccer), but more than half the seniors on her club team get D1 offers.

It's so quiet here when JLin has a good game and the Hornets win...

Helped the Hornets snap their 7 straight loses

19 pts ... not bad for a scrub as Tinsane and his inmates calls Lin

Win win last night...Rockets win and lin had a good game. Happy Happy for all in the house.

Or, could it be that the majority of us are not obsessed with a player that no longer plays on the team that Clutchfans follows throughout 82 games?

Or, perhaps, instead of looking at the line for Jeremy, we thought James Harden's 10,000th point was more important?

Or, it could be as simple as you being unable to notice what the Rockets are doing because you are so fixated on Mr. Lin.

BTW, because your post acted like Jeremy had a great game, I took your word for it, and I took a look. I guess a "good game" is subjective to you.

He went 5-11 from the field, 1-6 from beyond the arc and and 8-8 from the free throw line. The 5 rebounds are decent for a guard. If this stat line were from a rookie, I'd be impressed. This is from a guy who's been in the league, on several different teams, coming off of the bench.

I'm not impressed. A couple of good games here and there aren't enough to satisfy most NBA fans. You don't see the GARM going nuts because Corey Brewer has been playing better lately.

Fandom is a funny thing, huh?

How about looking at this another way?

What if Corey Brewer came out and said he was gay? Don't you think the gay population both NBA and non NBA fan would put a greater interest on how he play each game?

Your comparison is way, way out there, but no, I don't think so. We've already had a player come out and the attention wasn't spectacular.

Your post would have merit if this thread's most frequent users weren't longtime posters who can't let go of their distaste for Lin.

Yeah, but he was retired already and as I remember there was alot of attention when the Nets signed him to played a minimum role on their team.

Someone like Brewer who is playing good minutes in his prime will get more attention than you think. The gay population will rally behind this player no matter they are Rockets, NBA or non-sport fans.

Corey Brewer had a 50 point game when he was with the Wolves.

Lin fans aren't basketball fans. They are impressed with anything he does.
And they are evangelical about it. Think about it, they are on a Rockets board waiting for people to criticize his game because they believe Lin's pride, honor and image is directly connected to them because they might share the same crappy haircut or drink from giant straws.

Lin had a triple double as a backup with the Rockets.

If Brewer came out as a gay man, I'm sure Clutch would be ever more overwhelm with people in support of him. Most will not even be NBA or Rocket fans.

Your points would have more merit if it didn't get so active in this thread when Jeremy has a below-average game.

19 points on 11 shots is excellent efficiency. And no one is trying to impress you.

I am a Lin fan, and I have probably been a basketball fan longer than you have been alive.

you and your pal colt45nyc are pretending to play the elder card
you guys aren't Lo Pan and Raiden

you value this guy so much that you are on another team's site. You value individual players more than a team. Which people don't like on a team site.

Lin isn't on the Rockets anymore.

Doesn't mean he's not a topic of conversation for Rockets fans.

However you are not a Rockets fan. We had a Lin thread before you liars joined and it was just Rockets fans talking Lin.

If we exiled your insecure asses and it's just me and Zboy talking to each other, than that's the way it should be.

Think of Rockets fans as a family and you are just the dog we didn't adopt, go back to the shelter boy.

No one believes a word you say, you don't even know where Texas is.

I call you a liar cause every word you say is a lie.

at least yoeddy is not afraid to admit he's a Lin fan period.

he doesn't have to make up some stupid elderly astros fan persona, who can't write a normal english sentence to mask his true self.

    quit the Lo Pan act

Most dog owners I know treat their dogs as family.
