Man he really reeks of homosexual.... The effeminate, ballroom dancing type that listens to Barbara Streisand and has a hobby looking for Marilyn Monroe collectibles because she is sooooo fabulous! No one is buying the machismo alpha male in plaid flannel buying a new hand gun. Be yourself Theodore... Be open and free .... and get arrested for soliciting sodomy in a Bucky's bathroom at 2am.
Anonymous rep comment received for me related to this thread. I need you guys' help in interpreting this. "maybe cut the 'he's a ***' meme?" I seriously don't get a three-letter curse word, but someone is clearly irritated. Sorry I made fun of his obviously pressed and starched flannel shirt, but it's kind of funny. Oh well, let's get back to sexy photos of Ted Cruz, please, unless that also feeds into a meme which one poster would rather cut. Thanks for the extra rep all the same, police bro (the bro-po).
I personally don't care what Mr. Cruz's sexual proclivities are. The only thing that it might have to do with his politics is an overcompensation for self-loathing, you know, being gay in a evangelical household where you really have to excel at looking manly, devout and conventional to receive daddy's love. Subversive humor is the only weapon we have. We don't have the money for lawyers, lobbyist, PR campaigns or our own news network.
??? Do you mean the thread, or me, one poster, as typifying liberals? Personally, I'm about a pro-LGBT causes as you can get. My wife and I both have marched for gay rights and contributed to related causes. Mrs. B-Bob even volunteered for years with a non-profit that provided support to gay men as they lay expiring from AIDS. Long history here, FWIW. To be very, very clear, I do not care at all about Ted Cruz's sexual preferences, and I actually suspect he's straight in a very metro sort of way. But my opinions and votes will only be based on his statements, actions and policy proposals (all of which i find kind of horrifying so far). But like Dubious said, I do find subversive humor in the fact that an avowed anti-gay warrior keeps setting off the gadar of all my gay friends and ending up in all these effeminate photos. It's just kind of funny. Being gay is not funny, at all. Nor is it a slur or insult. But preaching against gays and trying to be a manly Texan, but really coming off as stereotypically gay (not even as a bear or a top, mind you), is sort of comic. And I would find some ironic humor if these aspects made some of his anti-gay supporters squirm a bit at their keyboards. Like me, they shouldn't care at all about his sex life. Cheers!
