Portland doesn't need to trade for Brewer and his salary for the next 2 years just to reach the salary cap floor this season. Worst case scenario if they stay below they simply pay out essentially a bonus to all the players on the roster up to the salary floor. Nobody is going to trade for Brewer to reach the salary cap floor. They will trade for Brewer because they want Brewer the player or because they are getting an asset for trading for Brewer that makes paying his salary for 2 more seasons after this one worthwhile to them.

of course they will need to get an asset. ANY team will need to get an asset.
And you are wrong. If they reach the salary floor near the trade deadline they will save millions. It's one of the loopholes.

They won't save millions if they have to pay Brewer $15 million over the next 2 seasons.

when did I or anyone else say that Portland would absorb Brewer without an incentive?

Oh and I found the numbers. Portland is around 14 million under the salary floor. Which means they can save a lot of millions by reaching it.

For example by let's say trading Henderson for David Lee + incentive they would save around 6 million dollars.

oh i agree. in fact i think brewer's negative value makes him more likely to stay a rocket. morey would probably rather wait for his value to improve.

TJ on the other hand, has positive trade value. however, on a larger contract next year will have less value, and letting him walk (if you dont want to pay him) is poor asset management.

so, i agree with you that he will most likely be flipped for another rookie contract or a pick in a separate deal which has nothing to do with brew.

If you are such a believer in the Dleague, tell me that Dmo was better in the Dleague than Jones.

He wasn't. TJones outclassed him there. He was his best in the Dleague.

Dleague does account to not much in this league.

You are welcome, cannot elevate the follow up argument with the base argument being well let us say nothing short of spectacular. (opposite direction)

Montrezl Harrell and Dleague boys ready for contention! next headline (Hello Bobby brain - they are not ready and consistent)

If you want those boys to get major playing time you gotta sort out Dmo as well - oh wait, you are his fanboy

continue with your witch hunt for specific players you hate on

I wasn't going to dignify that nonsense with a proper response, it didn't deserve one. I don't really mind you drooling all over the thread like that but I'm not going to act like you said something worthy of conversation.

I kind of wanted to retire with those threads until I saw one of your arguments being so ridiculous that Calvin Candy would roll over in his grave.

You are like a kindergarten bully that just cannot let another ordinary kid be and not harass him.

You won't even shut up when TJones is already traded. Lmao that is the joke of this month - and you mask your bashing as "conversation" even bigger joke hahaha I had a laugh

Whatever you think you have to tell yourself kiddo.

Anyway, let's get back on topic if you are done with whatever it is you were doing.

Trade idea moving Jones and Brewer. Bull and Bill kept hinting at Martin being traded tonight and it made me wonder if they knew of a rumor...

Lawson, Brewer, KJ + 3 second round picks(1 from Hou, 2 from Twolves) to Blazers

    Jones, Montero to Twolves

Martin, Kaman, Miller and Fraizer to Rockets

    Beverley / Terry / Miller / Frazier
    Harden / Thornton
    Ariza / Martin / Dekker
    Capela / Motie / Harrell
    Howard / Kaman

We open up 10+ mill in cap space.

It's called being a role player. But obviously you're blinded by that and has always been. How's dmo again and his injury that you so believed he would be back no problem.

Did any of your imaginary source tell you that too? Incredible.
Lawson is completely useless for Portland. So you basically have this :
filler (lawson) + horrible long contract+ meh prospect on the wings where they are very full for 3 crappy second round picks (2 of which are paid by the wolves??) That's not enough at all.

He say's that he won't dignify your well thought out response (he actually said nonsense). But yet he says this :
Harrell hit some 3's in his games in the D league so he CAN hit them just like Jones sort of CAN hit them.

Man this dude is actually crazy for real daywalker.
