Hillary will steal moderate/Republican females in the larger cities of the Midwest, and the educated professional ones in the smaller parts. That may not win her any new states in the general, but I think it insulates her in the primary. Rubio might steal votes in the Southwest, but Hillary just overlaps too many demographic buttons. You remember those random Saul Alinksey references conservative commentators like to make, Bernie unfortunately sets off those dog whistles.
One of the surprising benefits of Hillarys campaign is how much she gains from the inveterate stupidity of her most committed foes (eg the Gowdy pantsing, or above ) and comes out ahead. But of she loses in NH, she will . . . amass more delegates and win the nomination. This will also happen if she wins NH.
Same old song. People like the idea of Hillary Clinton. But when they see a lot of her, people don't like Hillary Clinton.
Especially the people who would rather have bamboo shoots shoved under their fingernails than vote for her.

I think she is. I think she has several problems that she cannot counter 1. Who the hell is Hillary Clinton? We know her as a political animal that as metamorphic as any politician. The problem is we don't really know why? What motivates her? What is her TRUE personality? 2. She seems like she is constantly trying too hard. He advisors are horrible, IMO. 3. She doesn't seem personable. She is the person you have a conversation with but you unsure if they really enjoying your company or pretending because then need to ask you for a loan later. As a president she will be fine. Better than what's on the other side of the aisle Rocket River
And if she is, it's sad that the only other alternative is Sanders. Nothing against Sanders, but as horrible as the GOP pool is, the Dem pool is basically just 2 from the start! Where the hell is everyone else? If the DEM loses this presidential election, DNC is to be blamed for a strategy of thinking Clinton has already won.
I earnestly expect Trump to pull out a "I have dirt on Hillary Clinton" like he did with Barack Obama.
The thing about Hilary is that she has come across as spiteful, manipulative and shady. Its sad that she's the moderate one and Bernie is not. Bernie seems trustworthy - He comes across as someone that genuinely cares for the people. Crazy as it sounds, I think Bernie has a better chance of winner despite being way farther left.
He has to overcome something worse I think. The socialist label. If he's the candidate, you know they will distort his socialist stance to point where you think he's a communist. That surely will motivate the Right to show up at the poll and I'm afraid could easily be effective enough to move a large chunk of independents over to vote for the GOP candidate.
Which is why IMO the Democrats are in trouble in this election provided Trump doesn't win the nomination. I think either Cruz or Rubio could pretty easily beat Bernie Sanders or a Hillary facing probable indictment for all sorts of mishandling classified information and possibly even a public corruption charge. Even if they squash the indictments, the emails available showing that she exposed classified information over non secured servers and ordered her people to strip classification from faxes and send them non secured......I mean that's why Bernie is surging right now. The race is more about if there will be an even slightly acceptable Republican candidate than it is about which of the two Democratic nominees is picked because while I do think he's sincere Bernie isn't electable and Hillary has already blown it.
I think that's true, but not his only handicap. I think he looks like an amateur. Not as a politico, but as a campaigner. His staff is thin, his security is thin, and his campaigning doesn't have polish. In some ways it helps him look like a sincere everyman who genuinely cares about the little people. But, I think it mostly makes him look like a small-timer in over his head trying to compete with the big boys, and not a credible person to give your vote to as a POTUS.
Yea, he sure doesn't look very presidential. But maybe that's what the public want. Who knows. I do think that if he's the DEM candidate, amateurish look isn't an issue. It may even be more of a strength - as you said, more connected to the common people. He would likely have the opposite of the Romney's I'm so rich I'm out of touch problem. But yea, they could use both and do something like this- Bernie is a decent nice person that won't stand against world aggressors and give all your money to the black, mex and lazy.
The most 'Presidential' looking candidate is Hillary, everyone on the GOP side looks pretty radical.... sort of like Goldwater did. It was fairly easy to paint him as 'too risky'. At least with Ms. Clinton you know nothing to crazy will happen legislatively (she will veto the GOP) or internationally (she will be about the same as Obama).
A majority of the country already don't trust Hillary and now with the email scandal and possible public corruption case, there is recent evidence that they were right to not trust her. I mean, if she were to be elected, she'd probably be better than Obama, but that's a really low bar. Most presidents have been better than Obama.
