I was a die-hard NJ Nets fan. Lived through some really tough times, from Sam Bowie to Drazen Petrovic (RIP) to Derrick Coleman to Jayson Williams to Stephon Marbury. Finally had a good team with Jason Kidd, but Ratner stabbed me in the heart when he moved my hometown team to Brooklyn. I hate the Brooklyn Nets with a passion.
I don't remember much of the evening either. I think I blew a grand there before passing out...maybe you were the one who woke me up and called me a cab...
To get into an Ivy League school, the odds are low to begin with. The 'hey Jeremy Lin did it' doesn't sway the population like you think it does. All players of all races who want to play NCAA ball, would prefer a power team like Duke or Kansas if they are elite. The Lin did it so my kids will do it, is a fantasy restricted to Lin fans.
