Clint is struggling big time, but he is a better rebounder and defender. Jones should continue to come off the bench.

Because he actually knows basketball. Jones is at best a decent rotation player, his natural bbiq is simply too low. If he had shown any improvement in his awareness I would feel he still has a chance, but he still makes the same rookie mistakes.

He was awesome tonight, but most of the time he is a negative on the teams performance. The last thing he needs is more minutes. I would rather see Harrell make his rookie mistakes than watch a vet keep making them.

The moment you start TJ, he will start sucking again. He simply cannot compete against the other starting PFs and one reason he is doing better is that the current competition he is playing against the other team's bench.

He is not a starting PF in the West and will regress to his mean.

Ideally you start him, but his defense and Hardens together isn't good

Jones played like crap for most of the game then he noticed his threes were falling and became more aggressive, which is usually when he succeeds. However, he's had so many of these breakout games, just to go back to his usual meek self the next game.

His problem is purely mental, I watch him all the time when he's on the court because it's so obvious he's extremely self-conscious at all times, even when he does well he immediately looks for affirmation from either Harden or JB. And his whole flexing thing he does way too much is so painfully forced.
This guy is showing puberty level maturity.

Capelas not the answer, but at least he's consistent somewhat. Terrence Jones will probably put up a 6 pt, 3 rebound performance in the next game. He's been doing this to us for years

Could this be fools gold? Hard to gauge TJones and the team in general. Maybe just trading Ty is the key or giving him more time to adjust. Don't know??

Jones is just like most players in the league. He has good games and bad games. He's not an elite player that produces game after game. But, that doesn't mean he doesn't have value. When he's having a good game, he has great value and helps us win games.

A lot of times it depends on match ups. Jones doesn't have the size or skill to dominate on a regular basis. He doesn't have great size, so he struggles against larger defenders in the paint. So, he will do well on some nights, but will struggle on other nights. This is where the coach needs to alter the rotation if possible. If Jones has a bad match up, JB needs to play someone else. Unfortunately, DMo can't help us right now, and Harrell is still learning how to play on the NBA. So, on some nights, JB is forced to play Jones, even though he wouldn't be the best option if everyone was healthy.

I feel like things could be better balanced but it's working right now so I say let's not touch anything until we feel like we're not improving as a team. The last thing this team needs is more instability.

Can someone pull up a oppFG% stat for TJones? It takes into account all the switching too right?
Watching him play defense I feel like he gets scored on every time he has to guard someone 1 on 1.
