Lin is awesome at DOTA2.

 

Man!! Well said on this last point. This is the biggest reason I am a fan of lin and people like tinsane and others will never understand.

Lin has nothing to prove to anybody. He's playing in the NBA and is banking millions.

What's simultaneously ironic and pathetic is how many LOFs have continually moved from one team forum to the next vicariously living through some imagined underdog racial crusader persona that only exists in their wet dreams.

 

By that arithmetic, 6100+ posts seems to indicate that Lin frequently plays poorly.

 

I agree with your first point but your second is typical of a tinsane inmate.

How can you understand? You never been subjected to what many Asian-American male have to deal with growing up in this country. Unless they lived in Hawaii.

You are correct that he has no need to prove anything to anybody. However, because of his high character, he takes on the responsibility and burden of being a role-model. This is another reason we Lin fans root for him.

 

Not just Asian-Americans, but Ivy Leaguers too. Ivy Leaguers rarely make it to the pros in sports. Jeremy is representing Harvard very well...

Sorry to disappoint you..I am a fan of many sports and being a fan of lin does not make me a lofs. It is people like tinsane and his inmates that keep spreading lies and keep making jokes of one's racial background of anyone claiming to be a lin fan.

My point was to explain the reasons why many Asian American is a fan of lin. It is not because he is Jordon like or even Harden like, but the shared experiences being an Asian American.

 

I brought up race because Codman tried to draw a comparison/contrast of Lin and his fans to Yao and Chinese fans. And I thought I responded respectfully...if you don't think I did, please let me know. I will joke around here a lot, but when it comes to race discussions, I believe those discussions are important and should be had with civility.

 

Harvard's Ryan Fitzpatrick had a nice season for the Jets, but you are correct..not too many Ivy Leaguers make it to the pros.

 

Tinsane and his inmates buddies always brings up race by making fun of people from Asia.
