    Great memories. What a game.

Longhorns winning and Rockets 2 championships are THE championships in my lifetime.

405 passing yards by Watson is the most ever in a title game

I get what you are saying and agree somewhat, but Clemson's defense and special teams have a habit of blowing plays. Consider it a team weakness.

Today it was a concentrated dose against their toughest opponent. They lost and deserved to.

Henry hair is just dreads like many other players...he just keeps it in a tight knot because players grab them.

Special teams was clearly the difference in this game.

Stated earlier how I don't care for that but it's part of the game and is what it is. That being the case I just don't understand how teams don't pay more attention to it. You can't be so out of position on an onside kick. You can't be so far off on a punt return td. Just can't have that in big games (or any games) when the competition is so close.

Saban pulling the on side kick is his coaching. So credit where it's due.

Would Watson go in the first round if he declared today?

Impressive game by Clemson but really never felt the game was in doubt. Always expected Alabama to pull away. I guess I'll expect that until Saban retires.

    What a stat?

    Greg Tepper @Tepper

Clemson has zero Texas HS football products on its roster. Last time a team won the national title with no #txhsfb presence: ’91 Washington.

Question of the night: What are Deshaun Watson's prospects in the NFL Draft?

I mean he passes the eye test. Throws deep with deadly accuracy. That last touchdown to Leggett was on a tightrope few QBs at the college level can make.

Seriously he's looked more impressive than Cook, Goff, or Lynch especially playing against a stellar defense.

    Thoughts?

Another interesting thing to ponder... Wonder if there are any stats on "giving up" the td there at the end.

Clemson in hindsight wasted two timeouts and whatever it was 30-40 seconds and Alabama still got the TD.

I get it was questionable in this case as the fg would have kept it a one possession game... Just seems like when they got to that one inch line you might have been better off giving it to them. Still had to recover the onside kick... But interesting to think about.

Like fouling when up by 3 in the nba.

Alabama running backs: great in college, mediocre/terrible in the NFL.

    Lane Kiffin for OC? :eek::p

Now that he's rehabbed his image at Alabama, [someone foolishly] will give him another HC gig here.

I feel like he's the next Cam Newton.

Can anyone more motivated than me compare Watson's stats to Newton/Manziel/Winston's college stats?

he most likely will be the best QB when he comes out, but things can change quickly in a year. there's a couple other players coming out with him that could be solid NFL QBs like Kaaya and Falk
