He tells the truth. The guys were hyped temendously around that time. Even now they continue getting the undeserved hype.
I agree he improved in some areas. I was pointing out what factors made him fall all the way to the 20s. The damn thing is I spent too much time on this guy, thought he was pretty good, you still do, but I came to realize he isn't as good as I thought he was. It is imperative for the Rox to get good two way players. Move on. We do not have time to wait on players. Heck, if Harden stops playing D altogether, I'll call him out on that and will give up on him.
Dobro prayers are lifted up for your wife brother. And big timer well said on the rest of your statement.
The thing about TJ's nerve injury is barely anyone knows what is really going on. Is it serious enough to threaten his career? Obviously, I am hopeful he can return back to his athleticism at least, in 1 or 2 seasons, that guy is 23 yrs old. Bummer.
So DMO has not even resumed workouts? So I guess this means extended time out. I wonder if we will see any of DMO's true potential this year. Frustrating.
DMO is a 2 way player, he is an excellent position defender and a very good offensive player. If we had DMo from day one we would not be a .500 team. DD
I do not intend to question your so beloved eye test. You have been wrong before. If it was true, we would have at least been to the Finals. At least admit he is not worth 267 pages of a thread. Neither Harden nor Howard nor Yao nor Tmac warranted this many pages.
Despite the outrageous amount of cap money expected to be available , you have to prove you are worthy of a contract. Teams will not pay for production 2 seasons ago especially if a player struggles returning to form . Especially if that player does not have a long track record . There is no mistake , Dmo not playing / being hurt right now is definitely lowering his payout in the summer . Granted , there is plenty of time for him to rebuild his value if he comes back , plays well , and doesn't have injury setbacks . Earlier in the year I would have easily said that if Dmo comes back this year and looks healthy he should have no problem getting around 10 mil a year . Right now , that prospect is looking a bit dicey . He just hasn't looked healthy or as strong as he was at any point last year . He has got to improve his foundational strength and rebuild his athleticism . Back injuries are no joke and no nba front office is going to take it into account lightly. I'm rooting for him , he is a super smart player who has great skills and instincts . He plays unselfish team ball . But as important as those things are , if he can't get back to a baseline level of strength and athleticism he just won't be a productive NBA player . Other guys are just too strong and quick and he would be a gigantic liability defensively . As a 4/5 you have got to do big man things so the athletic limitations play even worse. Hopefully he can get back to last years form and then improve from there.but ain't no one gonna give out 10m to a player who was injured and hasn't shown that he is recovered upside be damned.
You do realize that he was out last year in the playoffs, right? It is a bulletin board for fans which is short for fanatics - page numbers, internet arguments, who cares, it is all in good fun..... Who is right who is wrong, it is all opinion anyway.... DD
Anyway expect to have monster summer in Olympics with national team tho. And be in great shape in next preseason - starting 4. Qt remains is DMo be in Rockets uniform tho.
Well here is the real conundrum. Are those opinions ever really listened to, and is constructive conversation ever really taken seriously on this forum and the internet culture in general? I didn't really love The Hateful Eight like other Tarantino gems in the past, but one of the great takes I got from it was this is really Tarantino's statement on this culture that we have no that derives from everyone coming into a room. Being masked by the internet. Everyone is lying, and dug into their position, ready to murder everyone in the room (figuratively of course). Morey and Hinkie were probably sitting in the front office one day before draft night in 2012, and probably were drunk talking about our crazy fan culture after reading a thread on clutchfans about us debating Dragic vs. Lowry vs. AB, and one of them probably said how fun it would be to double down and draft another young PF who is the polar opposite to D-Mo, let's bring D-Mo next year, and watch this crazy internet folks dig into their respective positions and tear each other apart debating one guy over the next. I love D-Mo. I love his talent. I love his enthusiasm and passion for the game. I love the goofiness of his persona that has a sort of charm to it. But if I even BEGIN to question a point that a D-Mo Only Fan or whatever you want to call them, not only is my point not listened to, and countered in a professional manner, I'm then given an obvious label as a Jones Only Fan, and my point is taken as some sort of standoff, and let's see who gets personal and fires away first. I'm not trying to get all philosophical here or whatever, but I do want to point out the culture here, and realize that when we do what we do, we are essentially what Tarantino is giving his take on with what's wrong with our internet culture. (Or maybe I'm giving Tarantino too much credit and he really just wanted to use the N word alot, and watch 8 bad people locked in a room blasting each other to death)
he'd really only need to have been an average level player taking minutes from jones to improve our w/l a few games.
Nah, you're alright, you're not on the short list of Jones only fans. Jones only fans are people who are obviously biased against DMo and show it every time they post. You're being sometimes critical of DMo, that doesn't make you Jones only fan.
