I think lotto winners have to be reported to the public.

What if you hire a law firm to claim it as an estate agent?

Yeah, but that's if someone plays continuously.

There are people who buy their first lottery and win, I'm sure.

Not sure about the legal nature of the lottery.

    But: http://www.txlottery.org/export/sites/lottery/Winners/Winners_Gallery/index.html

Those are some of the TX lotto winners. Without scrolling through all the winners, the highest of the ones I've seen is 250k.

The person who wins it all will get so much attention from the national media.

Some said you have to set yourselve up as a corporation or some such
in order to be more anonymous

(People can still look it up in state records etc etc)

    Trusts still pay taxes.

EDIT - sorry, I was assuming you were concerned about taxes.

It has to be set up to use duplicate numbers. What if 300,000,000 people bought the quick pick?

Of course there are duplicate numbers in QP - it's just random. It doesn't take into account what other numbers have been picked.

If 3 people pick a random number from 1-5, 2 people could easily pick the same number. It's no different here. If there are 293 million QP's, there's a good chance that there are lots of duplicates and lots of unpicked numbers.

The best is when you buy like 20 tickets and you only match like one or two winning numbers on different sets of numbers.

Hey, but you know the old saying...you can't win if you don't play. No chance or 1 in 292 million chance. Hmm.

A couple states allow shareholders to remain anonymous. You simply setup the corp in that state.

If I win, I am sure I will have these lawyers setup something anonymous, I am willing to pay big bucks for it.

Why waste good money on a lawyer when I can set it up anonymously for you. It will only cost you 1.4B

How long does it take to set up the Corporaton?
If you won 900+ Million . . . how long can you hold that ticket
waiting for everything to be set up

    LOL
The Money would burn a hole in alot of pockets
plus fear of losing the ticket

Well you want to make sure to sign the back of it first of all. Maybe make some video documentation or whatever. I really don't know what it takes to set up a Corporation but I imagine getting paperwork from a courthouse would be one of the first steps

It will take two weeks for the lottery commission to set up your funds.

It could take up to two weeks to get your certificate of formation for your entity.

However, if you send the expedited fee, you can get it in less than a week.

What takes forever is the bank account that you will be opening for your company.

With that said, you could be waiting up to a month to get everything set up.

Setting up a LLC is fairly simple and cheap.

You'll be looking at three days or two weeks to get your certificate of formation.

Outside of investments, how do you spread that much money so that it is insured by the bank?
