ClutchFans Game Thread: Pacers @ Rockets 1/10/2016

Anybody that exempts Harden out of any accountability will face my wrath. You seem to skip in and out of those lines. Dont want you to end like Jfizzle or jordnnn, they are making me breakfast as I speak.

 

Wrath? Dude I don't know what's more pathetic you calling me a name (bird brain) that grade schoolers called each other 50 years ago or the fact that you are imagining other posters making you breakfast. I know I'm supposed to be upset with you but really I just kinda feel sorry for you. I'm going to continue to post whatever it is I want to post about James Harden whether it's to complain about his lousy d or give him credit for suggesting that reporters focus on someone else and you're gonna let me do it because you really don't have a say in the matter. Ok now run along, don't wanna let your cheerios get soggy. Good talk.

 

Rockets actually played really well in the 1st quarter.

 

Your new name is Bird Brain. I didn't want to do it but you asked for it.

 

The Rockets can't put together 48 minutes of focused basketball. In fact we struggle to put together 20 minutes of high quality basketball every game. If this team could just concentrate and prevent lapses in concentration we would be in pretty good shape.

It's always like this. Rockets start off the 1st quarter okay, then go into a lull for the 2nd/3rd quarters where we play lackadaisically, then we try to turn it on the 4th quarter again. This team just isn't sharp mentally and more I see it, the more I think that it's not going to miraculously change this season.

 

I like Bev he did have surgery on his wrist which effected his shooting i am guessing to start the season. His defense has dropped but he has had several injuries which probably wore him down, him coming back early didn't help I am sure.

He is getting back into a groove the only things I dislike about him

1) he is a PG and doesn't bring up the ball that much with Harden on the floor - he passes immediately to him - bring it up try to run the offense and let Harden play off ball now and then

2) set 3s, and drives to the basket are really all I ask for him for offense, lately he has been trying these dribble dribble around and step back jumpers which annoy the hell out of me. He has hit a couple but thats a poor shot for anyone especially him and this team can get a better look than that.

 

Good game by the rockets. Once they learn how to play TEAM defense they will win more games. Playing from behind and praying they come back every game is getting old and wont work against teams like Cleveland or GSW

 

Harden with the huge clutch defensive play to get the ball back to be able to tie the game.

That was a great comeback win...and I'm happy to have watched the highlights after (didn't watch the game...lol).

 

For #1, I just don't see a 'run the offense' ability from him. He makes a lot of stupid decisions like passing to Clint in a 3 on 1 fast break that could only result in a charge. Might just be me but I've seen a lot of scenarios where he just doesn't make the right decision. Not to say Harden always does either.

 

It's funny how we just decide to play defense the last few minutes lol but most fun game of the season for me

I really hope that we carry this momentum into Memphis. That would be a huge win.

 

was that before or after he iso-dribbled himself to another bonehead turnover at the end?

 

Was that "bonehead turnover" before or after 3 big time plays that led to 8 points at the end of OT?
