I think the more lucrative contract (which is still a bargain rate for us, imo) has done wonders for his motivation. He feels respected now and seems as if he's truly giving his all for his cemented family.

He is a decent backup PG. Lawson is the starter, or should be If we want to win.

I would say him and brewer are the heart of this team.

I have always liked PBev.... I think someone mentioned it already but it seems like he is the heart and soul of the team.

Probably a matter of injuries/health. Such a difference. Last year the team often had to stick Ariza on the opposing PG because Beverley was ineffective. He just didn't have the quickness to press up against the opponent without getting blown by.

Bev was never the problem. I am happy to see him improve his outside sitting even more.

More than likely, this generation of Rockets won't accomplish anything. But if they do, Bev will be a big part of it. If not here then I hope he can eventually go somewhere else and contribute to a winning team.

At this point, Beverly is better choice to start than Lawson.

Absolute complete hot garbage whose mere presence in the starting lineup indicates the unwillingness and inability of Morey to find a semi competent point guard.

We have a superstar SG who is 3/4 of a player because he doesnt play defense, so the solution is to pair him with a scrub PG who is 1/4 of a player because he has the energy to wave his arms up and down to show he's making an effort. Typical scrub whose sole skill is getting himself hyped up that he's actually not taking the bus back to the D League. Some fans love this because they think this somehow makes him an unique player. BUNK. The NBA is riddled with no talent hacks like him.

His greatest contribution to the Rockets is that he helps Harden rack up the stats due to his usage rate. We play 4 on 5 every damn time he's on the court. He is ALWAYS left open. And then people b**** and moan about Harden shooting bad shots. Well when the perimeter players dont give a **** about the other guy, you dont have too many good shot opportunities. Do we run multiple screens to get Harden open like Golden State does for Curry or the old Pacers did for Reggie Miller? no

Why? Because we have hot garbage playing. Hot garbage that can do only one thing. Because this fire dumpster is year in and year out Morey's bull**** analytics which focuses on specialization instead of just getting guys who can play ball. Get a guy who can defend? so what if he cant dribble the ****ing ball or make a smart pass to save his ass. Hey, this guy can rebound. Who the hell cares that he can't shoot an effing jump shot or free throw.

This team is limited by guys like Beverly, Brewer, Ariza. They can't effing play starter minutes just because they can do one thing half decent but suck the ass in everything else. The more I watch this bs, the more I'm convinced last year was an abberation. This is a ****ty team filled with hot garbage one skill players. I'm tired of hearing BS accolades about us. We're just not that good.

and yes cue the "bev scored 16 tonight" dramatics. I'm not one of those guys that changes my opinion on something because of one bad or good game. i dont care if he dropped 40 tonight. trash is trash, and I will call it like I see it.

Cant be worse than Corey Brewer. Even though Brewer played OK today. Not sure how many games he can do that.

I agree with this sentiment entirely. Just a reminder how important health can be, even when it is unseen to us. Injuries take a while to recover from to get to 100%.

He's been playing pretty well for 5 games or so now. It might be time to admit he's a good player again as well if he keeps it up.....for another month. :)

I'll say one thing about Bev, he's the best step back jump shooter on this team.

Unless Lawson is hurt right now (is he? I haven't heard anything), there is pretty much no way he's going to start on this team. It looks like the team has given up on him since he hasn't played in three straight games.

Not sure he was ever going to get into any kind of rhythm here.

    Mr 94 Feet!

Check out one of the new-tech training masks Bev uses. It's an "Elevation Training Mask" used to simulate training at high altitude while boosting your stamina and endurance.
