Funny you say that, because apparently you think Morey is so bad at making trades that he needs DMo to take DNPs in order to engineer a TJ trade. Go ahead. Say it. Say that Morey thinks DMo must stop playing, because that is the only way to trade TJ.
No. Got your facts wrong again. DaDakota did indeed say he has a gut feeling that Morey is purposefully DEVALUEing DMo as a summer re-signing strategy, and further said that Morey has been using that tactic with his assets since "Day 1."
lucky you that I do not have much money left now and I am not betting against my team but you make a splendidly good betting partner. lmao winning a championship right, with this team. Good luck with that
If talent is enough to win a championship....If talent is enough to ensure Dmo 25 minutes a game cool story
Also, he didn't "bench" DMo. He made him go on record saying he had a rehab set-back, while trying to prove to the NBA world that he is fully recovered in his contract year. Why would DMo do that?
I'd like to see what D-Mo can do in the playoffs but too bad he's injury prone. Hopefully he's not T-Jones 2.0 in the playoffs...when will we find out?
On the contrary, I think Morey is great at making trades. However, I also think that DMo is significantly better than Jones, and if DMo plays, other teams won't have any interest in Jones. They'll want DMo.
I am going out on a limb and say something is up behind those curtains. It does not add up. Or everything is falling apart and management is trying to just salvage part of the season.I do not buy this going to the playoffs, still wanting to make some noise there. Something is wrong.
It's a contract year, not a contract month. At January 15th, there's still half a season left for DMo to prove his worth.
So you have confirmed. You believe there is no way Morey can trade TJ without DMo getting DNPs, despite the fact Morey has two more months to trade him.
Well if we make the playoffs you can best believe they will push for a Championship Daywalker. I remember during our second championship run, we started the season off horrible but finished strong enough to make the 6th round. Result was another championship. I know this is a different team but bro anything could happen. I'm just not buying this notion of faking a players injury hoping his value is cheap at the end of the season. So that you can render his services for cheap. Teams seen the potential, so what makes any sane person think a team still wouldn't put a great offer on the table. And big homie this is coming from his faithful followers. Which is crazy because the way they hype him up, they should believe he still will get a big time contract.
OK, you answered my question. You agree it doesn't help DMo at all to fake an injury and log yet another string of DNPs #backreasons to his NBA resume, but if things go right, it might not hurt him. And he and his agent think it's a risk worth taking. Do I have your theory correct?
I'd have to look at the box scores, but my first thought would be that Jones' minutes were supposed to decline as DMo's increased, but maybe he had to play more due to early foul trouble for Dwight/Capela?
ok, then....haha Also, you would agree that nearly 90% of this bbs have predicted a TJ trade this year for months now. If we do trade him with Brewer on Jan 15th, you're going to claim your conspiracy theory of DMo faking an injury was proven correct...and Morey planned this the whole season,,,and that's why DMo hasn't gotten any significant minutes yet. Do I have that correct, too?
Not really. First of all, is DMo faking an injury? I thought it was soreness and conditioning? And secondly, its not simply if Jones gets traded. You'd also have to consider how long it takes DMo to regain last year's form. If he's playing great a week after Jones is traded, that would lend credibility to the conspiracy theory. If it takes him months to get up to speed, then the theory would obviously be wrong.
The theory gets more and more convoluted lol. If that's the case, why not continue just limiting DMo's minutes instead of going to the lengths of a needless MRI and fake injury? And the whole, "If they saw DMo even a tiny bit they'd want him instead!" thing makes no sense, considering opposing GMs were not blind last season -- they know full well what DMo's skill set is and what he can do at his best. That isn't exactly a secret at this point. Capela's minutes took more of a hit than TJ's did when DMo returned. And at that point I considered that perhaps that was for the express purpose of showcasing TJ. But again, it just defies logic (to me) that you'd go to these extreme lengths to showcase a specific player -- then not increase that player's minutes beyond what they were with DMo in the rotation and, in a couple of games, give a chunk of his minutes to another guy who wasn't even in the rotation. Either DMo's back is sore and they are being precautionary, or there is an elaborate scheme at work to showcase TJ by playing him basically the same minutes as before and sometimes REDUCING his minutes by incorporating Montrezl into the rotation. IDK, one of those makes more sense than the other -- again, to ME. If this really is some grand plan, it certainly does not appear that Morey and Bickerstaff are on the same page.
