Yeah, often that's the case. Alex Smith had an over 100 QB rating in San Francisco one year and his lowest QB rating in the last 5 seasons is 89.1. That style leads to super high QB ratings.
Alex Smith threw 13/5 that (abbreviated) season. Wilson has gone 24/1 in 7 games. Can you see the difference? One was a game manager, the other played like a superstar and carried his team.
One was a game manager on his way off the team for not being good enough, one is a really awesome game manager. Reggie Bush was a finesse running back, Barry Sanders was a finesse running back. You can't say that Reggie Bush wasn't a finesse back simply because he was nowhere near the quality of Barry Sanders.
i wonder if green bay can continue the away team trend of winning and getting the first td of the game.
Hard to take anybody seriously who calls Russell Wilson a game manager. Also hard to take anybody seriously who compares the QB position to the RB position.
IMO it's hard to take anyone seriously that can't follow along with what I was saying and thought that i was comparing the two positions to each other, but to each their own.
At some point Bridgewater is gong to have to make a play if they are going to win. He has the playmakers in Diggs and Wallace to help him.
And yet he didn't lead the league in passer rating. If it's "often the case", I'd think you could point to one example when it actually happened, no?
You have nothing to back up your point and just can't admit being wrong. Par for the course. Your illustration is a complete joke.
It's often the case that game managers have some of the top QB ratings in the NFL, just look at this season, you had Alex Smith, Tyrod Taylor, and Wilson all in the top 10 in QB rating. Last season you had Ryan Fitzpatrick just ahead of Wilson in the top 10 in QB rating Season before that you had Josh McCown, Nick Foles, Colin Kaepernick, and Wilson all in the top 10 Game manager type QB's very often have super high QB ratings. Safe QB play equals high QB ratings.
at best bridgewater is a mediocre qb. terrible for franchises because he's not bad enough for teams to give the boot immediately, ie wasting a few seasons.
Game manager type QB's very often have super high QB ratings. Safe QB play equals high QB ratings.[/QUOTE] 24/1 in 7 game isn't safe play. Harping on QB rating is your last refuge.
Please tell me Bobby is not using QBR as his reasoning. Please. Please tell me he is not using one of the dumbest statistics in sports as his reasoning.
