Why is depth do poor under BOB? Probably because he does things like trade six picks for two busts. Saying he did well with a crappy roster doesn't help because he built this roster (and ptetty much all the best players were guys Kubiak picked up)
I just don't understand why BOB conceded the game at halftime. He decided to lose a playoff game rather than admit he was wrong about Hoyer. He was trying to preserve his pride when their is nothing to be prideful about. He was a big prick about in the presser too. He was getting softball questions and being a huge dick from the get go.
Reporter: "..hey BOB how are you feeling" BOB with a red face and b**** tone: "GOD THE GAME JUST ENDED, ALRIGHT THE GAME JUST ENDED, OKAY"???"
I do kind of wish he got some tougher questions, if he was coaching a NY team the media would absolutely crucify him for his decisions.

You just make stuff up like you accuse BTG of doing. You have no idea how things work in the Texan front office because they are deliberately vague about responsibilities. You see one blurb about BOB having 'final say' on the roster and think that makes you an authority on how they operate. You have an obvious hard on for Kubiak so it makes it hard to have an honest discussion about BOB with you.
BOB doesn't love Hoyer. He has just worked with Hoyer in the past and it fit with the whole stay competitive theme, like with Fitzpatrick last season.
Actually I was fine with firing Kubiak at the time but now think it was a mistake based on what he's done in Baltimore and Denver plus it seems like it wasn't his decision to extend post broken foot Schaub. I actually think bobs gameday preparation and coaching is fine but his roster building is horrific. It's a fact that he has final roster say, not a blurb
This game effectively ends any speculation that Hoyer is starting material in this league. Hoyer destroyed his own career today, and made his team and coach look like idiots...
We don't need to be do anything too brash this offseason. Keep drafting lineman as we do have a pretty stout offensive and defensive lines and them dudes get injured a bit. Draft a QB you like if he's available or reachable or more than likely get a lower-mid tier and hope our system makes him more Eli Manning than Hoyer. Draft or pick up an above average running back and pair with Grimes. And fix the special teams, if you aren't going to be able to get a top 10 QB then you better be solid overall if you plan on being in the playoffs every year.
That has VERY little to do with Brian Hoyer unless you are giving him credit for being smart enough to get hurt a few times so that the team had a chance in the tough games.
I'm not sure how you quantify his roster building. Defensively, we did a 180 with new schemes and benching the right folks. Offensively, is where we just couldn't do much. Arian Foster was on pace to average ~900 receiving yards this season (a personal record if achieved), to go along with a modest ~650 on the ground, so we missed his production and versatility to mask Hoyer's limitations. Otherwise, I think our roster at the end of the season reflects our record, which is average. No denying we got lucky with the Colt's Luck being injured and we literally fumbled our chance to do something in the playoffs.
