Yeah there's pretty much no outcome that would surprise me. Texans blowout win, I could see it Chiefs blowout win, I could see it Close game that comes down to the wire, I could see it. Basically the only thing that will shock me is if either QB has over 300 passing yards.
It's game day fellas! I'll be first row, 40 yd line behind the Texans bench. Can't effing wait!!! If anyone is tailgating in the Platinum lot and would be willing to take in a couple CF'rs, let me know!
Such a tough game to get a feel for. The Chiefs Offense certainly has the upper hand on Houston, but if Hoyer can limit his mistakes and our OL can stand firm, I like our chances, at least in terms of a competitive game. Hopefully the Defense actually attempts to cover Kelce this time...
I don't think Hoyer is going to magically turn it around on national TV. We are going to lose unfortunately. Chiefs 17 Texans 6
Magically turn what around? Has he done anything other than what he's asked to do? Manage the game and make as few mistakes as possible. Take advantage of what the defense gives you. When in question, throw it in Hopkins general direction. That's what he's been doing. Hali is injured and I've heard that Houston is more injured than they're letting on. The defense is what wins us this game. KC's starting center is out. We excel at taking the short passing game away. We excel at getting off the field on 3rd down. Both of these things are things we didn't excel at in Week 1. I remember plenty of 3rd and longs that ended up in Kelce's hands for 1st downs. Basically, all of the things we couldn't do in the first half of the season are now things that we excel at. Neither team is the same as what we saw in Week 1, but our defensive strengths match up very well to their offensive strengths.
Hoyer just doesn't perform well under pressure; on primetime, essentially. The first game against KC, he buckled. The game against the Patriots, completely buckled, and can't throw deep to Hop. That's what I don't see turning around for him this game; performing under pressure. I hope I eat crow for sure, but I just don't trust him to perform when it matters the most. The defense will for sure be ready, IMO. I just don't think the offense, especially against the Chiefs D, will respond. That's what truly worries me, and it starts with Brian Hoyer.
****....stuck working today. Got the DVR going though...and Texans polo on....will try to watch on my phone. 0_0
Excited, but think we lose (maybe, blown out). Mainly due to Hoyer choking and Chiefs' getting pressure on him. Will gladly eat crow.
Both defenses are too good for the somewhat mediocre offenses, I don't see this being a blowout either way. A low scoring 3-7 point game wouldn't surprise me. I'm going to be optimistic and say that the Texans RB corps keeps the ball controlled just enough to pull out the win- 24-21.
I'm a Love Ya Blue fan today! Let's get it! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CbjPyufRY2M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
KC is better than us statistically in every regard. They are top 5 DVOA wise in Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. Our biggest issue is defending Alex Smith's scrambling plays. If we can limit those plays and not get into issues special teams wise, we can win this.
