Royce White would have been our Draymond Green

Daryl Morey made a huge risk in the 2012 draft desperate for a hit or miss star he drafted a super talented athlete who was afraid to fly. His fear of planes cost him nba allstar status. Because if he realized his potential he would have been the draymond of this team. The warriors actually hit on all their picks including draymond. Just wonder if this moron could have just overcome his phobia. Where this team could have been with that kind of player. I honestly do believe that is what the rockets are missing a passing 4 who can legit be a poor mans version of lebron. Harden would be on currys level if Royce White panned out.

Are you saying Draymond Green is a sane-man's Royce White?

Which begs they question, since Lin was insane as a Knick, was he likewise a sane-man's Linsanity.

Bottom line Royce White was a bad pick. Choosing a fatty who failed to deliver in college, and had mental issues, was a huge risk. Sure, swing for the fences when you have 3 first rounders, but perhaps we should have gone another direction.

I am biased, hated the choice at the time, and was holding out for the Rockets to draft Green with one of our picks...

The only thing Royce has in common with Draymond is that their last names are colors.

Royce was a complete bust, couldn't even cut it in the NBDL.

Lol, spot on, lock it up!!

I'm going to start a thread about how Nick Johnson could have been the Rockets Curry

These threads get even more crazy as the Rockets continue to disappoint... sorry OP, no way.

He would've been our Draymond Green if we managed the situation in a more modern way.

We tried to squeeze him into policies designed for the average NBA player with only some minor accommodations and then he just went overkill with demands and anger and frustration. I don't think any NBA team is equipped to handle his health issue, which is as unfortunate for him as it is for us.

Too bad. Waster career, wasted pick.

I had proposed a home-game only implementation. See how that goes. Maybe up from there? I loved the guy's versatility. We'll never know now...

I don't think he was at all interested in playing ball. He was just after the money.

If he moved to China, Europe or some other play to ball, than I'm obviously wrong.

That's not even right because White isn't a color; it is an absence of color.

I'm sorry to bust your bubble, but Harden will never be on Curry's level. If you put lipstick on a pig, its still a pig.

I'm probably playing with fire here, but I'm not convinced the guy's problem was a mental illness. He managed to deal with all these issues while in college, but once he gets to the NBA and gets his guaranteed money now he's unable to cope with these problems? It's also funny he was doing fine while with the Rockets, but started having issues when he was sent to the D-League. I think the guy was lazy and learned how to use the system to his advantage. I guess it worked out for him since he made a few million dollars for doing absolutely nothing.
