It was a funny of saying he's gotten a bit overrated on here. Wonderful looking game with big potential, but we gotta see it again. Get healthy big fella.
I really hope this isn't really serious and it is just fatigue. What concerns me a bit is that last year he just went out with a vague back injury for a while and then suddenly it's "he needs major back surgery". I hope everything is ok because they aren't saying a word...again. With respects to Jones, he has talent offensively when he decides to play with energy but he makes too many mental errors for a player of his tenure and is slow to rotate a lot, isn't a good rebounder and hasn't really improved much...which is disappointing. I think JB was talking about him when talking about effort when you aren't getting the shots and stats (him AND a few others). No complaints if he gets traded. Harrell plays really hard and despite also making some mistakes, he has a great motor and that is exactly something this year's team needs as we tend to let off the accelerator all of the time. I would like to keep DMO.
They just announced that the MRI was negative and that he was fine, just needed a bit of time to heal, probably fatigue from ramping up workouts if it is anything and they are being correctly cautious. DD
If the MRI news is accurate then we should be seeing DMo back soon, albeit with a stricter minute limit. I wouldn't be surprised if both are moved as Harrell's contract is pretty good for a 2nd rounder to go along with his talent. Rockets can go in a lot of different directions this deadline.
Dmo probably still has all kinds of musculature imbalances that were never corrected..... Are players suppose to seek and pay for their own training? Because Dmo probably needs more than just Keith Jones services.
Do not expect great things from Bickerstaff, not a good coach, not a developer of young talents. He is playing DMo 6 minutes, yep, no wonder Terrence is not playing well. You got to have consistency with your coaching style, and with your rotations.
Wasn't Jones more like Harrell now back when he just came back up from the D-League a couple seasons ago? I remember Clutchfans' quotes like "How can a player this good not get playing time?" or "He must not have it up there."
As we've heard before, things heal slowly for DMo. It's unfortunate timing to be without him though. The TJones hate is incredible . How soon we forget the talent he has during a crappy season. Look at guys like Corey and Pat: same, rough season. Pat's finally coming back into his groove, but CB isn't trash because of a very rocky start. Harrell is a workhorse, but I don't know if he's more talented than TJones. Of course, it's early, but we've seen what TJones can do. In the past, when he started with Dwight, we became accustomed to double-doubles and pretty damn decent showings. One of the things I've noticed with TJ is that he's playing below the rim this season. Last year, he was dunking bricks and playing with greater intensity. Something's missing... Either way, I'm not going to agree that TJones is the slouch some believe he is, but I'm not going to lie and say that I've been pleased with his output this year. He's not the guy I'm most disappointed with, but he hasn't met expectations for the most part.
He has a horrible posture due to injuries such as a collapsed lung. The thing is Keith Jones remains the trainer/medic on the team when he's obvious the curse of this Houston team for nearly 20 years.
