It's what Jones fans say to sane Rockets fans that don't fall to their knees and fellate their favorite player Terrence Jones every time he successfully walks while chewing gum. I expect this to get much worse in the next week leading up to Jones being traded.
I think Jones is ok, he actually plays much better as a starter than off the bench it seems. He seems to have trouble finding his way, or it takes him time, but once he finds it he can be successful. DD
I think he is what he is. A guy that thrives in transition but is inconsistent at best when it comes to pretty much every other aspect of the game. When he was a rookie, it looked like he had a lot of promise, but he didn't really expand his game since then and still makes the same rookie mistakes today that he made then. I don't particularly dislike him, I just prefer better players be more prominently featured in the best interest of the team. IMO Harrell comes in bringing energy and defense that Jones simply doesn't along with the fact that Harrell boxes his man out creating rebounds for the team. There was one point last night where Harrell boxed out Gobert so bad that he was completely under the basket, had he not done that, Gobert gets an easy rebound and dunk. That's the kind of thing that won't show up on a boxscore, but helps teams win. I see that in Harrell, I don't see it in Jones. Due to that, some would call me a "DMo only fan" or whatever. Personally, I think this board, and every other Rockets board will be improved a few weeks from now when Jones is no longer with the team.
I really like Motiejunas, but I´m a Houston Rockets Fan today, I was yesterday and I will be tomorrow. Do I think that a 7 footer who is at least an average passer and can score from the low post and the corner is our X Factor? At the 4, arguably our weakest position? Yes I do, moreso in this league right now. Claiming there are Motiejunas or Tjones only fans is just trying to not talk about basketball.
There are some that certainly make it seem like he's their favorite player. It could be that they are so poor at talent evaluation that their ridiculous impression of his quality of play makes it seem that way. Either way, I do think that it'll be better in a week or so when he's gone and it's not an issue anymore.
So.... do you ever look in the mirror after you say such things....? It's how they say..... the pot calling the kettle black.
