Not to be overly negative but I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned his really slow release given it's one of the popular reasons for TJones being labeled as trash here.
And the fact he's a lefty and his shooting motion brings his arm from the right side of his head across to the left.
His release may be slow but he has a very high release point thanks to his height and freakishly long arms. Don't forget, Marcus Camby had a very nice 20 footer in spite of his slow slingshot release
really slow release???? not hardly. This is a guy that can fake, step sideways or backwards right into his shot. Very nice. That means if the D dives at him, he's got a reset and he can still get it off. He's not slow at all.
Any team in the NBA with an open roster spot can sign him, since he does not have an NBA contract. No restrictions at all.
hes not an exception. he came in very weak yes but is by far a lot stronger now than what he was. same goes with KG for all the people that are looking at body types and think they aren't strong just because they look frail. Steph curry same story.
I was actually surprised at how fluid he was. Very natural. So yeah, his defensive technique on the wing as a 3, that would be key to getting him minutes, knowing that his spot 3pt shot would be there offensively. Does anyone know anything about his BB IQ?
talking in a circle here, I just don't think you really know how well capela already to compares to the NBA size.....as a 21ish year old....basically a rookie.... As it relates to putney, I see him listed at 185. He seems skinny but that's my weight a full 1' shorter....so I kinda doubt he's THAT light but if that's accurate then of course he would have to be drinking extra protein shakes. still the strength of this team isn't fitting molds, it's shattering them. This team desperately needs someone beside harden to score 20 every night.
Can't find this guy's standing reach and or wingspan measurements anywhere. Looks to be greater than Durant's. He would be like a Durant on the cheap possibly. 10 day contract is nothing to lose.
it doesn't matter how old he is. that's not what we're talking about here. you're basically saying hes going to add 15 lbs just by natural growth and that will be enough. No, that's not how it works in the NBA. he needs to add strength which he will and has done so far. You can believe all the weight listings or whatever and think that's somehow enough but the truth is every single athlete that comes into the league needs to add bulk and strength if they want a career in the league. Weight means nothing if you don't have the strength to go along with it.
If anything he's probably underlisted.. The thing about these guys is they list their weight according to appearance. That way an interested team would be more interested that they can add efficient weight later on. He could be well into the 220s but because his agent told him so, he is underlisted. Durant's weight is now over 240 and he doesn't look much bigger than his rookie season at all. Instead he has proven himself to be listed at his real weight.
