Most good players pad their stats against weaker teams. This is nothing new or unique.

I wasn't trying to say it was, just that it's not surprising that he didn't have any sacks until he played Jacksonville. The teams he faced before that either had incredibly mobile QB's or a very good O line.

Just didn't notice him. Clowney is giant and has long hair and watt is a bulk of white and a giant arm band.

I wish the NFL had a way you could choose to watch a static camera that was a little wider that allowed you to see what was happening inside the box without following the ball.

That's fair, some players do stand out more than others. For example, when I watch Raiders games, I try to focus on Khalil Mack as much as I can, but the guy just doesn't have anything to make him stand out. No arm or leg bands or braces, no long hair, nothing. I have to actually look for his name or number to be able to tell who he is.

If you have NFL Game Pass, you can get access to all-22 coaches film which makes it a lot easier to see what is going on than watching the normal camera angles.

I see what you did there.

Clowney returned to practice today (Thursday) on a limited basis. It's too bad the game is on Saturday instead of Sunday. Hopefully he comes out and has a good practice tomorrow. I'm guessing we'll know either way before Saturday. Hopefully if he heals up next week they'll still be games to play. No matter what, the defense is playing well even without him there. They shouldn't put his health in jeopardy by playing him when he isn't close to %100

Impressive. Didn't think he would be this great that fast. Kudos to Oakland's front office

Man, that one game against Denver really did wonders for him.

Take that Denver game away and he still would only have twice as many sacks as Clowney.

Glad we have Watt and good for the Raiders for finding last year's Watt. Shame we didn't have a chance to draft him.

Ja-day-to-day Clowney. (from CP's show today).

I don't expect the defense to miss him... but would be nice if he gave it a go, simply to give the Chiefs something else to try and gameplan for.

I guess some people think that is a big accomplishment having more sacks than someone who is the age that Mack was his final year in college who is coming off of microfracture surgery that consistently faced 2 blockers most of the season. I guess that's an accomplishment on some level, but the fact that Mack almost never faces 2 blockers and is 2 years older, and has significantly more NFL experience, and isn't coming off major knee surgery kind of kill it for me......especially when you factor in that through 20 starts Mack only had 2.5 more sacks than Clowney even with Clowney having all of those disadvantages.

I guess some people are just more easily impressed.

Some of you act like you want to be fans of the Oakland Raiders. Go ahead then. I will take my team over theirs any given Sunday.

Dude give it up. Mack is a beast in his 2nd season, and is a more natural fit as a 3-4 LB since he's more fluid at dropping back into coverage when needed. Clowney has shown flashes and next season will be the year you should really be able to grade him.... That is if he can stay healthy.

I think we'd all feel very different about that if not for the one freakish Broncos game. Either way, I would have taken Clowney over Mack in the draft, and I'd still take Clowney over Mack right now. I think time is gonna side with me on that one.

I understand why the Texans selected him then... but anybody taking Mack over Clowney NOW is absolutely showing their true colors/bias/ignorance... although I wouldn't expect anything less from the usual suspect on everybody's ignore list.

I don't care if its unfair that Clowney has been hurt... health is most definitely part of the game. Sam Bowie and Greg Oden may have been tremendous players if healthy... and people understood why they were selected where they were... but absolutely nobody would have taken them after seeing Jordan/Durant in their first and 2nd full seasons.

They should just trade clowney. He's become a luxury player. There's no need for him especially when you got merciless playing at this level.

Some of us just have a "what's done is done" mentality and are tired of hearing about it.
