Wait, what's the logic behind faking a re-injury to the point of taking an MRI, yesterday?

Is it so people don't ask for DMo in trade?
Or is it so DMo doesn't get big offers this summer?

If it's the latter, doesn't that mean we'd have to not let him play all season?

No it's not. This is pure conjecture. Show us who's 4th big is ELITE at anything???

No one's 4th big is ELITE at anything. Maybe they used to be elite, or going to be elite, or more commonly they're just average at most of what they do and can hold the fort down for 10 minutes a game. Which is Jones ACTUAL role on this team. 10 minutes. A healthy Rockets team does not play Jones more than 10 minutes after Howard, Capela, D-Mo.

If you look at NBA CHAMPIONS, there is no correlation between having a 4th big with an elite skill and winning it all. It's imaginary. You don't like Jones because he doesn't do anything that stands out, and he is getting minutes. We have no one else. To upgrade at the 4, we need to TRADE someone WITH Jones.

Jones hits 40% of his 3's. That, btw, is an ELITE stretch 4 skill despite your nagging.

Yeezus. I can't remember what prompted me to bring up Jones here, must've been something I read in the previous page or wrong thread maybe. This is getting idiotically out of hand guys. What kind of fan of a contender is busy harping on our 4TH ROTATION BIG when we're on trajectory to win 30 something games????????

If the Warriors were on trajectory to win 40 you think they'd be talking about Jason f***ing Thompson or Marreese Speights inability to do anything special???

He's a filler for D-Mo. D-Mo is our 4, for a long time I predict. Capela at the 5. Jones is gone this offseason most likely. He's a spare part on this team, and a damn good spare part for an excellent price. Doesn't talk much. Doesn't complain. Doesn't make much money. Runs a lot. Hits 40% of his 3's. IT'S FINE.

    I MISS 2014-2015 D-MO!!!!

It would only be possible if DMo goes along with it. And he wouldn't go along with it to limit his FA offers. However, he could go along with it if Morey explained him that he's trying to boost TJones' value and in the meantime keep DMo under the radar.

There is no logic to it. It's absurd and anyone who puts forth that argument should just be patted on the head but otherwise ignored.

No further damage, holding him out is just precautionary.

Yep, any conspiracy theory about faking DMo's injury is just absurd.

I do think that the team is tight lips about what's really going on and it is very concerning.

Dmo or Jones hmmm rockets gonna overpay one of them. Dmo will have back issues for the rest of his career most likely and Jones is to inconsistent to warrant a $15mill a year salary

You guys are naive if you think that it's not even a remote possibility.

Not so absurd, not at all.

Morey (on the phone): No, no, you don't want D-Mo. Bad back and all. Didn't you watch ESPN? (covers receiver) You did leak that memo, didn't you, Karen? (back into phone) Now, who you REALLY want is Terrence Jones, he's just been tearing it up....[click]....uh, lately. Hello? Hello?! Is this a fake hangup? F*** YOU, THEN! YOU CAN'T HAVE D-MO! (slams phone down) Karen, get me Dell Demps on the line, this clown'll fall for anything.....

However, all things being equal, the Rockets have been forthright about injuries. I do still question Omer Asik's injury from two seasons back, but that's past.

Life is absurd, and realizing that fact is just the beginning. Let's go have a cup of coffee.

DMo's back looks more like Howard's eye.

I hope he is okay because he's a good player and hands down are best passing big man.

I like dmo, I don't think he's the savior or longterm answer at Pf but I do think he's a very solid rotations piece and could be a 1st big off the bench for either center or PF and playing 25min a game.

If the rockets can clear him and think his back is okay long term I would lock him up with a 4/40 mil deal.

An X factor is usually important when the team is already solid and better.

This team is nothing so the X factor does not matter now.

We need to get this guy back into playing shape and sell high at the deadline.

He is a nice player, with a great post up game and work ethic, but the back issues are a huge red flag and his impact on the court is neutral at best, considering the turnover and rebounding issues. He is about to get really expensive and just isn't worth it.
