Wish the Rockets can find a way to bring Jimmy Buckets home.

Come on now. Harden may not be a very good defender, but neither are DeRozan/Beal. And Harden's offense is miles better. I'd say it's like this:

    1. Butler
    2. Harden / Klay
    3. DeRozan / Beal / Matthews
    4. Middleton / Batum / Ginobili / Oladipo

Funny you have guys like Wes Mattews and the benched Oladipo and even Ginobili but don't have Dwayne Wade

    I can't take this seriously

Harden is the most valuable SG in the league. A lot of his value though overlaps with what PGs do though, so maybe it's wrong to even label Harden as a SG to begin with. He's basically a more offensively efficient mini-LeBron James minus of course the defensive intensity and hustle.

Wade is good too. Good point. I might have forgotten a few others as well.

Eye test agrees, stats don't regarding your second paragraph.

Difference in ORPM: 2.64 in favour of Harden
Difference in DRPM: 2.41 in favour of Butler

Both average around the same in steals and blocks, Harden rebounds more. Not the whole story, I know...

Of course, you could just say that Butler is at least top 6 in DRPM and #2 in ORPM and that's a solid argument too. I'm not a huge stats guy, so I don't know how much I can put into it when it says that Manu is defending better than Butler this season.

    - I don't want to get into a statistical battle with anyone. I don't have the time, and can't be bothered -

I'll put it this way. Harden is a better shooter and ball handler. He's better at creating baskets for himself and for his team mates and has proven to be a better clutch performer, though Jimmy's shorts are certainly getting heavy in that department.

I just wish Harden would play defense to at least make it a non-issue, but that's wishful thinking right now.

Crazy to think that even during what's being considering a underwhelming season so far, he's still putting up these numbers while Butler is playing career-ball. It's crazy, and frustrating.

Butler has been improving for a while now. Don't know if he can keep this trajectory, but if he does he will be a damn good player in another year. I'd have to say, with his playing both sides of the ball and having that great of an offensive skill set he is better than Klay. That being said , i've read about some attitude problems etc about him as of late. If its because he's a big competitor (Kobe/Mike/Garnett) then its nothing to worry about it

If you count paul you have to count LeBron and leonard, so it would be:
    1. klay
    2. paul
    3. jimmy
    4. LeBron
    5. leonard

Idiots rejoicing in this thread. He's also better than Kevin Durant then. If we're going by one game.

And people were shocked at this post, who made all NBA and who didn't?

Harden better be working on his game, he needs to pick it up.
