I'm not trying to compare anyone. And it is not any sort of soft.

"Leadership" as a quality is poorly represented in professional athletes in general. If anything is soft, it's most of their egos. There are very few "leaders" in professional sports that actually attain some tangible success due to their "leadership" qualities.

Tim Duncan comes to mind off the top of my head.

I don't place much stock on qualities like "leadership" and "heart" in professional athletes and would much rather see discipline and effort.

Any Rocket fan will tell you that Hakeem Olajuwon was a leader.

Anyone who takes Hakeem for granted must not respect what he did for this organization.

So what you're saying is Les didn't respect Hakeem, you know since he kicked him out for Toronto. Also since Hakeem isn't suiting up any longer and you don't appear to like any current players... do you just watch Clutch City on loop? I mean don't get me wrong re-watching the best moments in rockets history is great but unfortunately Hakeem isn't coming back to play (no matter how many times you repost the same poll/thread reworded). I'm starting to wonder if you're a bot.

Honestly these threads remind me of an older high school football player and that being the highest point of their life. Sitting in the garage drinking, wishing they could play just one more down, and then mentioning it in every conversation at parties... Haha, sorry 99er, don't cut me from the 30th reunion of the championship, but by then Harden will probably have won 5 championships for the Rockets and everyone on the board will have forgot hakeem played for the Rockets and just look back on his Toronto days.

PS I don't think Harden will win 5 and you'll be here anyway with another silly poll to remind all the young guys about hakeem (not that he needs that, even though you think he does). :)

    Didn't read replys.

This Franchise will never have another caliber player like Hakeem. Only 1 Hakeem. Harden + Tmac don't come 1/100th close.

Don't expect any reply from Tinman.

He doesn't tend to reply to posts which absolutely destroy him.

He's living in his own fantasy land, he just skips over these posts so he can go onto the next one which probably is about how someone is mentioning the Miami Heat and then they brought up the name J Howard and made the comment 'remember when he was a Rocket?' only to have Tinman quoting and posting a reply in caps "JUWAN HOWARD WAS NOT LEADER HAKEEM LEADER OF ROCKETS. PEOPLE WHO THINK JUWAN LEADER OF ROCKETS STUPID DON'T CARE ABOUT WINS. JUWAN HOWARD NOT BETTER THAN HAKEEM YOU SO STUPID SAYING HE BETTER THAN HAKEEM" (picture it in the voice of Grimlock from the cartoon Transformers)

Go ahead and do that. The rest of us know, leadership and heart are directly correlated to discipline and effort.

Yeah, I figured there was some underlying factor in his comments.

You don't need to be young to know that Michael Jordan was greatest leader for the Bulls

    Magic with the Lakers

    Bird with the Celtics

    LeBron with the Cavs

    Hakeem with the Rockets..

Oh wait, only McGrady fans think of McGrady as a leader

that's like when Rockets fans think of George Washington, McGrady fans think of Benedict Arnold.

    DudeWah, swwyguy , Downtown Sniper,

giant McGrady fans. Search their historical posts. They can't accept that his tenure was a failure.
And I'm pretty sure they are HAPPY that Harden is having problems this year because last year, he basically accomplished things that McGrady never did his career.

At least swwyguy is pretty blatant about it, at least he's honest.

    RasaqBoi,

This is true, but why would anyone think of McGrady when you think of 'leadership'?

That's like thinking of taco bell when you want high quality and authentic mexican food

at least , Harden delivered last year, he's at least Ninfas

Hakeem is the michelin star real deal

DudeWah also hates TJones and Corey Brewer.

Both aren't playing great but they had their share of decent games.

Tjones needs to be traded and Brewer was overpaid.

Brewer has shown some decline in his play.

Obviously both are role players not your highest paid player.
