That's what seperates real ATHLETES from guys that do this for money and glory. A real athlete gets poised by these comments and is on a mission to destroy his opponent the next time they meet in a game, Harden just doesn't give a F and rather gives 70% and then parties after the game.

You don't win with this guy as your franchise player.

 

Jimmy Butler does that. But he is also turning into a douche. Hoiberg can't control him.

Harden makes him his b**** nine games out of ten. His defense is severley overrated. He is not a great defender

 

Klay played well. Credit where it's due. Too bad half of his points came when Harden was on the line (Brewer.. Cough). Don't forget Harden dropped 30 on him too. Would hardly say he kicked his ass.

Thompson does everything slightly above average, include defense. He is like R. Miller, you need run the plays to get him open. But once he is open, then he is deadly. A team with that kind of player as 1st option can be a good team, but will never win a title because it takes too much to score the points. Thompson is so lucky to have Curry draw so much attention.

Harden only plays half of the game, he is a total disaster on defense. Even on offense, he contributes next to nothing if he doesn't play ISO. You cannot rank a guy who doesn't give you anything on defense.

 

Well you can say that Harden was still better last night because he played against a much better defense than Klay did. But that's little consolation for us Rockets fans. In fact, that's a real sad fact.

Who cares who the best SG is? The only thing we should care is whether the Rockets are the best TEAM. And we are far, far from it.

 

I'm not a homer my friend. I said he played well yesterday, and he out duelled Harden yesterday, he won the battle fair and square. He had the better game.

But he didn't kick his ass. And his defense, whilst solid, is not by any means "elite", which some posters seem to think it is. If he was that good of a defender, he would be locking up Harden and embarrassing him every time they face off, which isn't the case.

Harden leads their head to head battles over their careers by an overwhelming margin. But Klay won yesterday 100%.

 

What's that supposed to mean exactly?? LeBron's jumper is beyond broken this season, and he is an awful free throw shooter for someone of his calibre. The only player who gives LeBron trouble on that team is Iggy.

 

Nobody can 'lock up' a great offensive player like Harden.

 

Klay can Iso and play off the ball.... Harden cant.... Klay plays defense .... Harden refuses.... Winner Klay

 

Thompson doesn't have 1on1 offensive skill, he is terrible when GSW tries to ISO him. The guy is just dumb.

 

Lots of players can create, guys who can create but aren't good shooters are a dime a dozen. A guy who can draw a defense isnt rare, as long as you have capspace you can get guys like that. Someone like thompspn who is an amazing shooter and isnt a defensive liability is much more rare, you can find guys who can defend and guys who can shoot but its hard to find really good 3 nd D players who arent superstars themselves.

 

Harden cant defend though there are a ton of good pgs in the league who can set you up, Id rather have a guy who cant create but does everything else well than a guy like Harden who goes ISO everytime and doesnt play D. Thats just not winning basketball, as we saw when Spurs hammered the rox hard tonight.
