Harden has been a horrible leader THIS YEAR

I won't argue that. But we saw him LAST YEAR, he led the league in PER and was 2nd in MVP voting and led the Rockets to the Conference Finals

The problem with McGrady is he never led us anywhere

Yes, maybe Harden IS MORE FRUSTRATING because we know what happened last year, there is hope

there was no hope with McGrady, that's why the Harden situation sucks

I know the ant man reference, but I don't think he gets the romancing the stone reference!

Here's what it comes down to...

McGrady screwed the franchise over because of an injury...

Harden is screwing the franchise over because......remind me please?

    Which is more justifiable?

Tmac quit on previous teams no doubt....he claims management and weak lineups....

Harden has neither the injury nor the weak lineup to reconcile any of his actions this season................which infuriates more?

I liked Mcgrady way more pre-injury.

    This situation sucks.

However, Harden is still a healthier and offensive potent weapon.

We knew about McGrady in Toronto and Orlando, we knew what could possibly go wrong.

The problem is we didn't expect this from Harden. It's like he slept with Khloe and woke up as Steve Francis.

I don't know what to think, we know there is so much good in Harden because we've seen it.

So you can pull rank on me because you watched more oldies?

    Classy.... as always

Your main sentence is Only fans are stoned but it is a tad trying too hard don't you think?

I am out, getting some air, would recommend you the same

Gladly come back with you referencing other stuff because you failed to see that Harden was flawed in the beginning.

don't blame age that you aren't good at movie trivia

So was Harden flawed when he was having an MVP level season? or was he flawed when he stopped caring this year about basketball?

At the end of the day you have to pick which one you hate more

The only fans or Tmac the leader himself?

MVP seasons only tell you half the story. Ask Dirk what is more valuable?

His 2007 MVP season award (when his team was embarrassed by GSW and Davis) or the Larry O Brien trophy and his Finals MVP 2011?

If we change the question to who is more selfish it still the same result..

Mac screwed the franchise with the injury trade issue but always laid everything out and had good intentions

Harden we know can beast but is choosing coast mode instead of mvp mode...if thats not quiting or putting himself in front of the team i don't know what is...

    the McGrady is OVER.

The Harden is still going on, the season is not even half way through.

Yeah, it sucks, but Harden's Rocket career will not end like Tmac's being traded away when he's washed up, angry at the organization and living in denial that he still is an all star level player.

He has never been heavily injured, at the age of 26 I think he has the opportunity to turn it around.

I am not sure if he is going to do it here or somewhere else. He needs to shave first.

I can't comment on McGrady's leadership since I wasn't following the NBA that much then, but Harden is clearly not a great leader.

As far as the game goes, McGrady might have had a higher peak, but Harden's game should translate well to when he's older, since it's not based on athleticism. He should give the Rockets a much longer window of being a contender.

I feel like they are both the same BS at this point. The team of Howard, Brewer, Terry, josh Smith, and Ariza got us to the WCF. Harden's defensive liability is dragging this team down into the gutter.
The day we saw Harden hanging out with Ty Lawson and out with Khloe Kardashian was the day we should have known the season was done. The Harden we knew as a player is gone for now. I have no idea what kind of mother James Harden has but I hope she realizes what is going on and will slap him back on track. He's looking like a third wheel instant offence off the bench kind of player now and another failed adidas experiment.

Mcgrady played his heart out until that last season. We gave him the team and cards to be dealt with and played them the only way he knew how. He worked on Dirk and took it upon himself to play both ends of the court. The man we're Now relying to get us anywhere is extremely mentally weak and will most likely not get us into the playoffs. Hopefully Dwight can help because I'd trade Harden for Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler, or Wiggins if ever offered. He's turned into a shorter Rudy Gay with a long beard and sadly less defence aka as a Chucker.

    Damn . You're right.
People don't want to compare Lamar Odom to James because Lamar is a drug abuser.
However the situation is the SAME.
When Lamar hooked up with Khloe, he didn't care about basketball anymore.
Sure it was poking fun at the Mavericks when Lamar just didn't give a damn, but that's what Harden is doing now.
Lamar even said in interviews he just want to be back in LA. He was addicted to the fame and party lifestyle and celebrity.

Lamar Odom was never viewed as a superstar or star. Well he had allstar talent which he wasted and thanks Kobe and Gasol he got his ring.

He was not even supposed to be a leader even when at his best.

His teammates liked him and there is that.

He deserved better than be found in a brothel with hookers all around him, doing him while he fainted and went into coma.
