It might be time to pull a Warriors and build a team around Harden the way they did around Curry. If Harden is the franchise here then put players around him that fit. Warriors made the difficult decision to deal Monte for Bogut. They drafted Klay, Barnes, Draymond, and Ezeli. Signed Iguodala and Livingston as FA's. All of these players' skillsets fit around Curry. The Warriors system fits Curry's style.

Maybe this is a step back season to identify players that can fit next to Harden long term. If Ariza, Howard, Jones etc are not long term fits maybe it's time to deal them by the deadline while they still have value? I'm not ready to scrap the season but at some point you have to say it's not our year and start to look to the future. Even with a miracle turnaround it just doesn't seem realistic to expect this team to hang with the Warriors or even the Spurs in a 7 game series.

Sf and PF are our main weaknesses.

Bev is a fine starter next to Harden he can play off ball shoot the 3 and play defense. Howard is fine and JH is fine.

We need a much better SF (Harrison Barnes?) and a major upgrade at the Pf spot. I know we all love DMO but he is not that guy I know his rebounding sucks but just watching him this year and I know it's early but he's not been very impressive in the games he has played.

the problem of the system sources from the back court. we had all kinds of problem with the point guard all the time, from early this season until now. It has never been solved, or we had never brought in any point guard like DW, CP.

Meanwhile, Coaches like Popovich and Kerr can influence the players psychologically, but not BT.

I think we are indeed one or two player away. We added length and defense with Capela starting, though he does look tired now and over his head as he awakens, and I think if we can add a long point guard, and one additional long rebounder, then we'll have enough defense to cover up for Harden and make getting offense easier. The solution is simple. That's my hunch. Add more defense so that we get easier shots. Then we can work on turnovers, which may not be correctable by adding more athletes. That ultimately will be our cryptonite. But as for what is fixable, we are too small. We need length and height and aggressiveness.

Morey has no control over faulty parts. They worked fine before.

Respectfully, I thought the contacts he gave to Brewer, Bev, and McDaniels were way too much and I said so at the time. I would have offered Brewer about 3-15 or possibly 1-8 and Bev about 3-12 or 1-5 and if their agents found a higher market for them I'd have tried to work sign-and-trades or let them walk and sign minimum salary guys. I would've given McDaniels and Harrell 1 year at the minimum or used cap space to sign them to 3-year deals if I had moved out Brewer and/or Bev and had cap.

I thought all the signings were bloated except the rookies and I assumed that Morey knew he could move all those contacts out if he needed to. I was told the Clippers wanted to trade Lance Stephenson for Brewer during the summer. Hopefully that was and is true so we can dump Brewer if we need to for Stephenson expiring deal.

I am hoping Morey knows the trade market well enough that he can dump Brewer without including assets.

If you think this team is going to rebound anytime soon, dont get your hopes up. This roster will blow up here in a few weeks.. near deadline

Howard is gonna be gone, Tjones, Lawson, Brewer etc... Les is not going to sit here and watch this team waste away, way down under .500 with the money hes paying. Just doesnt make sense.

We will have a totally new roster around Harden next year with a new coach. Have fun with watching this mess...

they dont need to make any trades. they need to improve their defense significantly and they can do that with zero trades.
