Being a leader easily prevents these sort of plays. This will never happen under Hakeem's watch. This play is on Harden alone not the entire team. When your supposed leader doesn't try on D it trickles down to everyone else.

 

looks like pat was the farthest downcourt and just wasn't paying attention. for a guy who's supposed to be a great defender, that was just pathetic. and overall, his defense has been putrid all season, and most of last season. horrible horrible contract we gave him. when harden plays no defense, at least we're getting scoring and passing out of him (most of the time). but if bev can't even provide decent D, then he belongs in a chinese basketball league

 

still not giving up on this season, but man this is depressing in a sports world way. I rank it with the brokeback mountain year. at least then, it was all due to injuries. there is no excuse for lack of effort.

 

Beverly defensive awareness was the issue on this play

 

Please post Les' interview, trying to be hopeful about the chances he's for real and changes are coming.

 

Harden does exactly the right thing on that play, he checks Klay Thompson

 

What changes could really help this team, outside of a new coaching staff? By keeping JB, Les opted to punt on the season, so I don't see the benefit in trading away pieces unless you can somehow get short term value for Ariza/Brewer/TJ that will free up some 2016 cash.

This team needs a new coach, a different mindset, a huge SF & PF upgrade, and an Offseason to work on the new System. I expect to be 1st RD Fodder for 1 of the true Contenders.

 

i was a big fan of the kings when adelman of the coach. loved our offense and ball movement when he coached. wish he could coach this talented rox team.

 

If the wait until 25 losses there will be a huge chance they don't even make the playoffs. Unless of course they go on a LARGE run ( LOL )

 

Don't get why posters here are worrying not making the playoff, this team WILL make the playoffs only question is how far can they go.

 

There's a half game separating Utah and Houston right now. Even with the Burks injury they still have a decent team. They are well coached and at least play team ball. I could easily see Houston missing the playoffs due to Urah or Portland catching a streak. This team isn't a lock for anything except not showing effort.

 

remember when hakeem had to sit out for awhile to gain trust in his team mates and also for them to build trust within themselves

remember when tmac had to do the same thing and thus initiated a 22 game win streak

remember any of a number of rockets teams who've gone through this exact mess

now do you remember any of them have head coach on par with JB

 

If the Rockets play defense like Curry, they would be better than what they are right now...Effort counts buddy.

 

Thats not true. If you have to lie whats the point of posting? Is it that important to win an argument? Just look back at our conversation. All I said was Harden doesn't have a big ego because that would mean he would have pride and some how you took that as me defending him. That makes no sense. You're the only fool here. With you if anyone defends Harden for anything we think he's "god". No he's not god, he's also not responsible for every problem on this team. You might be used to gang wars in your private life but I would appreciate if you stop trying to create them on Clutchfans.

JB is learning on the fly as a head coach, but he's no rookie. He's been on the bench for awhile.

Still, yes, I wish we had Rudy T, JVG, or as everyone knows by now, RA on the bench.

Cuban was smart to lock of Carlisle.


We're going to be okay though. That's what I'm riding with after this morning.

It may be time to start saying goodbye to some of the obvious suspects though.

 

I kind of like "Houston" in red/mustard uniform like last year instead of "Clutch City". Not sure why they keep changing the uniforms.

 

If harden is as great as he thinks he is, he would have forgot even thinking about any New Years party, and get his ass in the gym to work on his game after that embarrassing loss to Clay Thompson and and curry-less Warriors team. That would have inspired his team... But no instead...

I understand its news years and all, but if I was him I could not possibly stand the thought of being bested at home, I would lose all interest in anything other than becoming a better ball player. I bet you kobe would have been in the gym instead of celebrating a loss...
