Leslie is an *******, no matter how much he is invested in this team.

You know, I'm still waiting for that phone call he said he gave me every year because I never got one. Unless he was calling another Rick? ... He said he used to call me 3-4 times a year. That never happened.

Rick doesn't want to put up with Leslie & Daryl's bull****.

Hasheem Thabeet? What am I supposed to do with Daryl?

    Leslie & Daryl both.

That made me chuckle. Thanks, J.R. To think that at the time, we were all hoping a little bit that Hasheem would be the future.

Les isn't worried. Watch the interview from last night. I don't know exactly why he's not worried, but he's calculated.

I think he's rocking with the whole "make the playoffs first and anything can happen."

That works for now, but you have to have a 3/4 that can score and defend if need be.

This team is weird enough that they could probably beat the Clips in a 7 game series, even if we were the 6th seed.

We seem to play well against the upper-echelon teams and then lose to the bottomfeeders.

Normally, I like the underdog role, but I expect us to go on a run fairly shortly.

Stop living in the recent past, we have JB now!! Lol, no matter how many old topics or threads come back it's not going to help this team... We need to just focus on the tmz stuff and not basketball!! That's what some of our team prefers anyway...

Haha, PS I'd take Rick back but.... Morey doesn't like coaches that can run their own plays/systems... And Les is good at... making wine???

Except we're not playing the underdog role; we're playing the underachiever role to this point.

Parting ways with Adleman was a mistake of colossal proportions.

That said , that ship has sailed ....

I'm no McHale sympathizer but it was probably a mistake firing him .... He wasn't the problem (wasn't the solution either) & JBB hasn't made a difference. This team is just as haphazard & inconsistent under JBB as it was under McHale.

Adleman ain't walking thru that door and neither is Van Grumpy ..... but there is an option ..... find a coach who worked under Adleman and employs his offense. If you could find a guy who is a bit better defensively that's a plus.

Who that person is .... I got no clue.

    Hello, it's me Leslie
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet
    To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal ya
But I ain't done much healing

Hello Rick, can you hear me
I'm in Houston dreaming about what my Rockets used to be

    Hello from the other side
I must have called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

    Hello from the outside
At least I can tell Clutchfans that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for letting you walk
But it don't matter it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

It's no secret that the both of us
    Are running out of time

So hello from the other side
I must have called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for letting you walk
But when I call you never seem to be home
    Hello from the outside
At least I can tell Clutchfans that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for letting you walk
But it don't matter it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

Didn't Adelman retire for personal/health reasons?

He's not coming back. We have a better chance of getting both Thibs and Durant.

Adelman has to be close to 80.

He has been an NBA head coach for what? 35 years? Never won a title.

He isn't in the Hall of Fame either.

    He wasn't fired either...

As far as calling Les... Well let's see, JVG said he was called by Alexander and the owner wanted to be kept in the loop and wasn't by JVG's own admission.

So what makes more sense, Alexander suddenly stopped making phone calls to his coach or Adelman was full of ****?

Adelman wanted control of player transactions and wanted to hire his crappy son to be in charge of analytics... Someone with virtually no background in it, but a few DUI's on his resume.

Adelman took the money in Minnesota and ran than franchise into cap hell handing out bad contracts... He hired his own family members to high paying jobs though.

Let's not even get into how Adelman treated Rockets employees.

He WAS a good but not great coach at one time... His time has passed and never ever really got the Rockets that far.

Tell him, "I'm glad I fired you and I should have done so earlier"

    Where's that option?
