Lol Mauri went from being the best Gm to a top 3 GM to a top 5 GM

Soon people will realize he is not a top 5-7 GM

    Vastly overrated GM

This.... As a GM who studies the data like the bible, you know for a fact that Morey is already creating a plan for recreating the roster. That's a fact. Why we want to deny him of that when he's created some pretty damn good rosters before with very little to work with is beyond me.

I'm almost certain the data states pretty clearly that this season is pretty much over, and its time to put yourself in position for the correct offseason. The first part of the offseason is finishing out the season with momentum.

Hell the Rockets might still make the playoffs and might even make it to the second round. But Morey most likely isn't going to sacrifice the future now knowing what he knows, in order to try and win two more regular season game.

We as supposed educated basketball fans should know this and be prepared for what is to come. Why now on January first (fourteen days before Morey can start making real trades) we'd want to give up hope on him is beyond me. He should have earned our trust from years ago, and he deserves a chance to at least do his job... which doesn't start really until January 15th when he can take the shackles off.

We need to hire Thibs and clean house on all the assistants too

Give Thibs freedom to chose his staff

Oh and please get someone like Noah - we desperately need a real leader and voice. This guy is all out hustle, passion and leaves everything out there

I AGREE! IF we can get a top-notch coach right now, WHY WAIT???

Hiring Thibs makes perfect sense. And since it makes sense, the Rockets will never do it.

I think a change like that probably won't be so effective midseason. The team needs training camp to have his defensive philosophy properly ingrained.

I disagree - you bring him in now, to get a jump start on that for next year, you use the All star break to get in a mini camp - it is not Rocket science it is accountability this team needs.

And JVG won't talk about, let alone interview, for a job as long as a coach is holding the position. Do we think Tom, who was Jeff's right hand man, is any different?

Les isn't hiring JVG back anyways.

Don't think roster reshuffling is what it will take to get us to the next level. Morey does this every year and every year we're disappointed - in spite of the great job of assembling talent that he's able to do. It's time to get a coach that knows how to operate and drive the Ferrari that Morey provides.

Completely confounded why anyone would wan't this guy back. Do people use their brains these days? A little tyrant whose offensive philosophy was to feed the ball to the star "until he drops". We need offensive creativity. Not more stagnation. Also, Thibs was the reason the defense was so good when JVG was here. Not because of JVG. Think people, think!!

Is there an actual quote from Thibs or his agent that he's open to take over a team during this season?

Sounds easy to say "Just give the job to Thibs", both sides need to be open to do this right now.

Pass on Thibs, I'd rather go with Steve Clifford.

Morey and Thibs have something in common... They are both incredibly overrated by this board.

Coaches are a brotherhood too, Rockets would do well to just keep JB for the year. It'll look bad on Les for a high profile coach that he fired TWO coaches during the season.
