Klay Thompson: I'm the best shooting guard in the NBA

This proves Curry is the real MVP. He makes everyone on the team looking better.

Real Warriors know that Thompson is an average player if not for Curry. The only reason the Warriors gave him that contract was his shooting when open. He is great at that, even better than Curry.

But that's all he is, now everyone outside of Bay Area got to see who he truly is.

 

This thread reeks of saltiness.

You could ask Harden right now if he thinks he is the best player in the league and he would say yes. Most of the best players are extremely confident; they truly think they are the best.

 

Most people realize that. He's basically a younger Kevin Martin. He doesn't do much except shoot, and when he's off, he doesn't bring much else to the table.

 

I think he should defend better than Kevin Martin. Martin was a horrible horrible defender, worse than Harden

that is not saying much

 

He is a better defender than Harden & Martin, but the other damage he has done put him back with those two at the same level.

Just watch him when he got beaten on defense, or miss a shot on offense. He literally stops, throws his hands in the air, shakes his head, and talks to no one in particular with a disgust expression, while the other team plays 5 vs. 4 against the GSW on the other end of the court.

It's amazing the GSW coaches hasn't sat his ass down on the bench more.

 

Let's see IF the Warriors don't have any significant injuries come playoff time..we'll see if they're lucky twice

Just saw this on another board:

On a board I saw someone post "Klay's defense is bad" and since I love the guy's hustle, angle/passing lane anticipations and 1on1 defense, I just dissed that statement. Then I wanted to back myself up with some stats. So I went on basketball reference, only to see these stats in the last 3 seasons for Klay Thompson:

Defensive rating: 106 - 104 - 105 (all worse than all regular rotation players)
Defensive box plus/minus: -0.6 -1 -1.7 (again all worse than all regular rotation players except Speights)

I know that stats don't always show everything but I mean these can not be outliers 3 seasons in a row, while Klay being at the bottom of defensive stats. For example you can no way in hell see Duncan, Kawhi, Garnett(prime), Marc Gasol or Draymond Green as the worst defensive stat guys on their teams.

 

Golden State is like an Indian restaurant , nobody wants to go to that place if they can't have curry

I rarely post here and now I am a GSW fan, thanks for giving me the breaking news.

Tough boy, Klay isn't that bad and not that good.

 

Both Curry and Thomspon are in a symbiotic relationship. Without Thompson (or another wing defender), Curry's defense (or lack thereof) would be exposed; without Curry, Thompson's one-dimensional offensive game is exposed.

 

This, but basically with the whole GS team. The rest of the Warriors are so Curry-reliant on offense. He alone changes the complexion of their team, which is very limited in their offensive creation. With him, Draymond has the ability to create and Klay gets many open looks. On the other end, you have great versatile defensive players in Klay, Barnes, and Green that prevent Curry from getting exposed on the wing and on drives. Their team system is well-built for each other.

Spurs are one of the few teams, if not the only team, that can expose them on both ends.

 

Basically, you are saying they win by playing team ball.
