its amazing how before the season began A LOT of people on this board (myself included) wrote the mavs as a scrub team with absolutely no hope this year, in fact i did not even think they would be in the playoff picture. just unbelievable.
Not getting DJ was probably the best thing for the Mavs...Zaza has proven to be a better center and he never wants the ball....and it also allowed the mavs to go out and sign a lot of other guys around them.....would have never thought I would of said it but man I am happy the mavs did not get DJ....ZAZA for mayor
Judging on how dysfunctional Phoenix 76'ers are this season, i think LMA must be very grateful in dodging a bullet this summer.
So which is it? Some of you are so confused. You call the likes of Green and Klay very ordinary without Curry which shows that Curry is really the engine of that team and clearly deserved MVP lasy year OTOH you turn around and say GSW is very all round talented and they would win several games without Curry and that is why Harden deserved MVP My take has always been: Supporting casts of Rockets and GSW are about the same talent wise What makes GSW much much better than the Rockets is that Curry is superior to Harden and a better team player. They also have a better coaching and a system (unselfish and ball movement) that makes Curry's supporting cast look much better than they really are.
Again, stop playing victim or trying to claim it's bad luck or insinuate it's written in the stars There is a reason teams shoots the lights out against us. Our defense sucks!
I mean...it's a bit of everything, no? That's why they're great. They check off so many boxes on what makes a team truly elite. I don't think it's an either/or kind of thing. Curry is an amazing player who very obviously elevates the rest of his team. Not much more to say about him. Guys like Draymond/Klay/Iguodala/etc. are great players in their own right who allow Golden State to use many different lineups that other teams can't defend or score efficiently against. They aren't "ordinary" (especially Draymond), and that's pretty obvious, but obviously it helps playing alongside Curry. Then, of course, they have great coaching and a great offensive and defensive schemes.
Exactly. Curry/Thompson need both to function...obviously Thompson needs Curry more than Curry needs Thompson. However, this game shows how much of an amazing run we had last year without Howard most of the year. Harden has proven he can go solo carrying a team with injuries. It'll be interesting to see if the Warriors get hit with more injuries this year and how they respond.
Man, I hope Klay shoots like a chump against Rockets tomorrow.. We know that won't matter because someone off GSW bench gonna score 50.
Lol one game dude That's a nice theory but your wrong. Klay/green/iggy/bogut is a lot better than Howard/ariza/Dmo/Capela not even close. Harden would be great with that supporting cast as would any top 5 player. Those are great role players/secondary guys in green and Klay. I don't really care for bogut or iggy but green and Klay would be perfect next to harden pick and roll with green and harden would be the same as it is with curry and green with Klay sitting in the corner for a wide open 3 when the defense collapses on green. I mean it's simple basketball those two guys are Tailor made to play off a ball dominant superstar guard.
man. i really didn't expect the warriors to suck this bad without curry. i guess having a player that can stretch the defense to half court and score twenty points in three minutes is pretty useful.
