I agree at the 2 min mark when they couldn't foul anymore we had a 1 point lead with that strategey. Then we get a steal harden flips a nice behind the back pass to howard for a dunk up 3 with 1:15 seconds left or somthing close to that.

Game should have been over but bezmore hits a 3 over I belive brewer or Ariza. Admitly it was a well defended lucky shot but still force the dude to the paint to take a hard Mid range shot. The clock had 2 seconds on it he could not have made it to the hoop.

JB does nothing for me other than his post game interview. His rotations suck he plays brewer way to much when he is just a big fat negative. And how many times do we have to see brew in the game down the stretch? I mean seriously if you want to play him in the 2nd/3rd quarters ok I get that I guess. But your closing lineup in close games? What is up with that? Every time its a min or under in a tight game he runs out brewer... Just plain idiotic.

This team needs an upgrade at small forward or power forward or both an I mean in the starting lineup. And it needs to come from somewhere else.

Dmo Is not a starter and Ariza is a nice bench player on a contender unless he's asked to be the 5 best player on your staring lineup and right now he's asked to be the 3rd.

Many of those offensive rebounds were long rebounds. We need better recognition and rebounding from our perimeter players. I sure hope we get PJ Tucker or someone like him by the trade deadline. Jimmy Butler please keep talking to the media and get yourself traded to Houston.

Frustrating game, but typical of the Rockets this season. Just couldn't get enough stops and key scores when it counted. Rockets played no defense all night. Offensively they had it rolling until of course the final few minutes.

Refs kind of ****ed us tonight but still should have won. That Milsap flop on Howard was probably the worst all year, and that's saying a lot since guys flop around him 2-3 times a game.

Thornton and KJ should be getting minutes over Brewer. He's such a momentum killer. he takes the wind out of the team when he's been on the court. It might not look like a negative pendulum swing other than a bricked layup or loss ball out of bounds or when he travels but it all adds up in the end.

JB and Brewer have to be screwing or something. Gotta be.

I really hate that Harden feels like/or has been told - to look for people instead of shooting the ball.

There were at least 4 times tonight (and in previous games too) where the better option would have been to shoot on his drive - instead he looks for lobs to big men or the extra pass which isn't necessary, and results in turnovers.

But still.. Same old ***** different day with this team. Although a few of those calls towards the end were horrendous - no way we should've given up a combined 29 point lead.

EDIT: I can't harp on this enough. Brewer does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to warrant playing time. I hate him.

Rockets would have a better record with McHale at this point.

    Typical Rockets.

The only good thing is Lawson is becoming closer to what we expected. Terrible post defense.

I don't know that this group will gel in time.

oh I had to grab this one from another thread..too good not to:

Can Anyone Explain why C. Brewer Got 17 Minutes for ZERO Points and J.Terry 6 Minutes For 3 Points????
There’s an article out on Chron.com where Bickerstaff explained why he opt to give J.Terry playtime more so than M. Thornton and it was the most idiotic answer I’ve ever heard. I have talked about this before on a BleacherReport article on the Rockets but now that I’m among Rockets fans, maybe some of you guys can make me understand or at least attempt to make sense of why Bickerstaff go with J.Terry over Thornton.

Given this game against the Hawks which featured two teams blasting off with 3s, one of our most deadliest assassin in M. Thornton stayed glued to the bench when this sort of game is TAILOR-MADE for his skillset. And once again, Bickerstaff opt to go with J.Terry who only lasted 6 minutes in a game he had no business being in.

And to make matters worst, this same Bickerstaff give C. Brewer 17 nice minutes to produce ZERO points…and boy, he tried to get his points but knew his game STINKS so bad that it just wasn’t the night for him to screw us up. And due to that, he had a +/- of 14 based on being NON-FACTOR and simply a facilitator to move the ball to the right man. Something that can be a pretty good role for him if he attempt nothing else with the ball because he sucks that much.

Back to Bickerstaff….would it have hurted to give K.J. Brewer’s minutes? And there was still some minutes we could have taken from guys that just wasn’t performing up to participate in this game and given it to a high energy like Montrezl.

Believe it or not though, Thornton could have made a huge difference in a game like this. A game you can call, Shooters Night Out, really. And I’m sure he would have produced far more than Terry’s un-impactful 6 measly points. Bickerstaff just don’t get it. He is hard-headed. He’s stubborn as a bull!!!

When is this clown gonna realize Terry is BEYOND HIS PRIME??? He’s only effective in spot-up minutes here and there in certain games but Bickerstaff trying to get thus guy a regular spot in the rotation as if he’s just came into the NBA. He’s a veteran on his last legs, man!!!

Can anyone make sense of this???

There is few fans like James Harden.
We all know why basketball fans don't select him as an All Star.

What's even more depressing; Horford's 30 pts tonight snapped a 107 game streak of the hawks not having a 30 point scorer

That is about right... I had them 5 or more under .500 through 50 games with the tough schedule and eventual injury issues.
