The team is shet right now, and that is not the right environment for Dmo anyway.

Time for him to find a new home if he wants to flourish don't you think? ;)

Millsap and Horford are all-stars. They're hard to stop. The proper recourse would've been to take advantage of DMo's post game and 4 inch height advantage over Millsap on the offensive end.

But but but but we just need DMo to have "X" more post touches and we win....

Y'all are sounding a lot like Lin fans.... Only if we used him properly...

He is still working his way back in... He did rebound good tonight for him... Our guards and wings, not named Harden, killed us.

If you were a more knowledgeable fan, you'd know that DMo posting up is one of the highest efficiency plays we can run. When DMo gets it in the post, it leads to points or FT's most of the time.

Also, if you really want to point to what "killed us" tonight, Dwight Howard was just awful defensively and that can't happen since he's such a big part of what we try to do.

Milsap is much stronger than DMo and is a savvy defender. I don't disagree that we should be going more to DMo in the post, but it's not costing us games.

It did tonight. We had numerous wasted possessions where we weren't even getting a good look, those wasted possessions ended up being what cost us the game.

LOL. Just stop, you have no idea what I am arguing for. I fully support DMo in the post but we got bigger issues.

I've already said it in multiple threads, defense and turnovers cost us.

Using him in those situations give us a higher chance of winning though.

I'd say that it cost us tonight's game. How many low post opportunities did DMo get tonight?

Bobby explain what happened on that alley-oop to Dmo.

Can someone post a gif so Bobby and DD could break that play down for us.

Nope. We could have easily just have gotten a few more rebounds or turnover it over less or defended better or any combinations of that along with more DMo post ups. You just have a chubby for DMo and can't see the forest through the trees

Simple, he doesn't have the ups to play above the rim, it's just not part of his game. Most people know that.

Hawks had 99 FGA to our 72 FGA, the issue is deeper than DMo's post ups.

What!!!! Are you freaking serious dude. Some of you people flamed Jones for his performance against the LMA but want to say Milsap and Horford are all stars. I guess LMA isn't an ALLSTAR OR A SUPERSTAR.

And yet you had Capela and Howard in the game and you couldn't get a rebound or get any stops....

I'm suggesting we go with a highly efficient play down the stretch when the team was struggling to score and for some reason you don't think it would have made a difference, pretty odd.

    D-Mo was +8
    Capela was +4
    Howard was -20

D-Mo's abysmal rebounding clearly killed us whenever he was on the floor.

They could have also used his elite blocking out skills to keep Atlanta off the offensive glass as well lol.

In games like tonight's, we could've won by playing either better offense or better defense.

Our defensive problems can't be fixed overnight. It's a process, and that process won't start until everyone buys into it.

On the other hand, we could've very easily played better offense. I don't know what DMo would've done in the post, but it would've been preferable to Harden's hero ball iso's.

Who are we talking about here? Dmo or Hakeem? I mean yeah he has a good little low post game and is being under utilized on the offensive end but my God Dmo again is not the saving grace of this current team. This team has way too many issues to feel Dmo is the difference maker.

Is DMo ready to be a go-to post player though? I question whether he has the mentality to dominate. Look at Capela- he's younger and played much, much less pro ball than DMo, but he's already so much more productive even when his minutes are limited. Capela got 17 and 10 boards a block and a steal in 29 minutes. DMo played 27 minutes, but only netted four points and 7 rebounds. We should be patient with him because he is recovering from injuries, but he is closer to David Anderson than a player to build a 4th quarter offense around.
