He's not NBA head coach ready. This season is a complete loss. We will struggle to make the 7/8th seed then get spanked in the 1st round. Offseason better bring about major changes.
When does coaching matter the most during the game? Have the Houston Rockets been great at settling the offense and anchoring the defense down the stretch of games?Have the rotations and substitutions been mind boggling sometimes during games? I understand the players play a big part in the equation, but in my opinion, special players need special coaches who establish a structure which the team can thrive in on a consistent basis during the game. The problem seems to be with the Houston Rockets coach is that he is not a great or a bad coach, possibly just an average coach at the moment. This does not seem to be fully a basketball issue, more of a character/mental issue with the team.
Why do you ASSUME, a real coach wanted the job immediately after letting Kevin McHale go like ten games into the season? Quantify it.
LOL. Okay troll. Start a fire Morey thread then or resurrect one. You can always tell the trolls and/or less knowledgeable when they have to put words into folks's mouth, like anyone actually thinks Morey can do no wrong. Talk about delusional....
I'm throwing my lot into this. Once he made Brewer a defensive sub I knew all hope was lost with him.
You can have the greatest coach in the world. But if the players won't listen, or if they just don't care, what good can a coach do? The Rockets lose games because they can't do the simplest things. Getting back on defense, getting a rebound. These are not things that require a great coach. These are things that any player can do IF THEY WANT TO. If you want to complain about the rotation? Well OK. But really it's just the simple things that shouldn't even require coaching that beats this team.
Yep, JB has to go.... I realize that its mostly on the players... but JB is the guy who allocates minutes to Brewer - while Thornton logs another goose egg... I'm sorry... that is just beyond stupid... smh...
LOL. Can't actually dispute what I said, huh? Silence is deafening. It's okay to be scared of someone more knowledgeable.
