Arm talent-wise, yes. Absolutely. Mentally? He obviously wasn't there. Whether it was alcohol, drugs, or a learning disability, something wasn't right. Fact or the matter is that he was essentially a locker room cancer, as evidenced by our team coming together once he was released. Look at the fiasco he may or may notnhabe caused in Miami. His greatest contribution to this team was beating Pittsburgh - while quarterbacking a different team. That says something.
Wrong. I'm one of the more intelligent posters on this board. I don't post a lot anymore, but to say I'm not smart because I ignore your posts is incorrect. I've been here 17 years, and in all that time I have only placed four people on my ignore list. You are now #5. Goodbye.
Shouldve just kept Ryan... Fitzpatrick that is...This infact was the biggest mistake that the Texans made last offseason. BOB couldve had Fitzpatrick, Hoyer as backup, and Savage as 3rd string.
Amazing . . .. It Teddy B put up those numbers in a win Bobby would be whining they won inspite of him and blah blah blah and Teddy is a 2nd year player Malley been in the league like 7+ years and Bobby ready to give him a lifetime contract Rocket River Your bias is showing
His deep passes yesterday were beuriful. How come he never show that for us? His overall stats were chit tho
The date that one signed up on this site means literally nothing to me, the only thing that matters is the content of what they post. If he isn't intelligent enough to understand that what I said was tongue in cheek then he REALLY shouldn't be going around claiming to be one of the most intelligent posters on this board. He basically disrespected himself.
I'm honestly baffled by it. At this point the people that argue with him are as responsible for subjecting the whole forum to the nonsense as he is.
Exactly this. We are all guilty. It's really not the substance, it's the style and the repetition. I said it before but it's a totally self-aggrandizing ego trip for him, quality of discussion be damned.
Of course it's not the substance, most of the big arguments I end up being right. There's just backlash by those who don't see it at the time. Look back at all of the really big arguments, like when I said the Texans wouldn't pick a QB with the first overall pick and would pick Clowney....or when I said that Bridgewater would be Alex Smith 2.0.....or when I said that Mallett would end up getting picked back up after he left here....or how about Andre Johnson's performance this year in Indianapolis? I mean, there's many many more examples, but it's always the same. Someone takes offense to something I say and they go nuts about it. They should just take it for what it is, solid analysis, and move on with life. They certainly shouldn't feel like they have to troll the board for months on end simply because I disagree with them or that they are upset about me being right and them being wrong. It's just childish.
Amen. I read and post very little on this board either, but three posters stand out as bad enough to be on my ignore list. He was #2.
I'm probably the worst offender. I try to be civil but he usually trolls in return It's time to politely ignore
The Texans' improbable turnaround this season literally identically coincided with Ryan's release. Baltimore (or any team) picking him up was likely an act of desperation. Multiple QBs have been going down every week it seems.
Sure, but a HUGE part of that was Hoyer going down twice. Without Yates and Weeden, the season would have been sunk. They weren't even on the roster at the time.
It's 90% of the substance too…he has some terrible takes. Of course, a clock is right a couple times a day too. In any case, I've learned to just ignore and move on about my day.
