Its a money decision. Les is very cheap. If he fires Bickerstaff he would roll with Finch next.

i'm not sure i buy the notion that we have no decent takers to take on the reigns here. talentwise, we have one of the top 3 or 4 rosters in the league. and look how PHI added d'antoni midseason. yes he's not the head coach, but he did just attach his name to one of the worst records in history and has very little to work with right now. and lastly, we don't necessarily even need a big name or a re-tread. there are probably a dozen coaching candidates off the top of morey's head far better than bickerstaff and finch. there are certainly dozens who know to call a F'n timeout when your team gets possession in the backcourt with 6sec left on the gameclock and multiple defenders already downcourt, or when your inbound play disintegrates and the only option is passing to dwight at the arc w/ 1.7sec on the clock smh

Yes, so cheap that he ate McHale's contract after just resigning him to a multi year deal...

Yeah, but he did not go out and HIRE a REAL coach, and put a guy that was heavily involved in the failure in charge.

Les is one of the cheapest owners in the league.

Yeah, I don't get Morey. The McHale move was the right one to make but to replace him with someone on his staff? I mean we need a proven coach, especially if we're trying to win a championship. Or least someone who will be different than the person that was let go. I still don't see offensive sets. It's the same old story on offense. I don't get why they didn't go after Thibs. Maybe they did and I am unaware, but that guy seems like a dream hire.

    That was awful.

I think we should have signed D'Antoni as associate head coach, frankly. He's an unbelievable coach. Imagine Thibs as head coach next year with D'Antoni as associate running the offense.

Just keep firing the coach. It will work eventually.

    Sincerely,

I feel for these players. They see teams with great coaching. Coaches that have teams with far less talent. These coaches minimize their players weaknesses and maximize their strengths.

Our players don't know what their roles are. They don't have faith in what the coaching staff is trying to get them to do.

Can't believe Morey didn't have a legitimate contingency plan if things didn't work out with Mchale. He had to see we were being constantly outcoached for the last 5 years. Now we are wasting what small window we may have had. Who knows what next year will bring.

The last 5 minutes of offense for this team is awful

And defense we switch on everything and now everyone is always out of position

The team is a collection of low iq basketballers. You cant fix that without a bunch of trades. What you don't need is to also put a dumb coach in place and JB is exactly that. Poor use of time outs, taking guys out when they're hot, the insistence of playing Brewer and not Thornton and on and on...

JB's a joke and he's full of ****. He's in over his head. This is just a lost cause until this organization finally values coaching again. If Morey doesn't change his philosophy of not valuing a real coach, just clean the whole damn house. This whole situation is a total failure.
