Honestly? D-Mo does what we wish Dwight would do, so why the hell do we look for Dwight in the post when he has proved over and over again that he doesn't know what to do when he gets it there? Capela+D-Mo makes Dwight redundant. I watch D-Mo and I see what we all wanted 5-6 years ago. For Scola to grow 6 inches.

JB needs to cater the offense more to D-Mo and have Harden conserve some energy so he can use it elsewhere.

Was DMo not getting heavier minutes just a week ago? Lol... For all the arm chair psychiatrist stuff you do on here, you're actually asking me to show proof on my thoughts...

 

The issue was defense in the last 3 games, we won when we played it consistently. If we have been getting out rebounded and playing inconsistent defense, then why would DMo be a good a answer? He hasn't made a name for himself rebounding and playing defense.

People are just wondering why DMo has taken a step in minutes... His rebounding is low and he is fouling way too much which makes me think he is hurting.

 

This has nothing to do with being a "D-Mo only fan." It's called common sense. He is our second best scoring option on this team. It'd be one thing if we never gave him the ball, but it's another to give him two post ups, both ending up with baskets, and then completely go away from him.

Heck, we post up Jones more than D-Mo.

As for the "Not rebounding" issue, yes there were a couple of plays where he got beat on the boards, but not every rebound by Anderson was D-Mo's fault. There were plenty of Times where he switched and then Andersen got the rebound, and people for whatever reason believe that's his fault.

D-Mo needs more minutes not only to get in better shape, but get back into his old form, a hustler who makes smart decisions on defense and offense, rotates well, and is a great scoring option when the ball freezes.

 

D-Mo is the only Rocket currently besides I'd say Jet who will go out on the court and give 100% effort and hustle consistently.

I will take his energy and effort even if it's foul plagued minutes - over T-Jones who is a laughing stock on defense.

Pels players didn't even need to make any series of moves to get by him down low last night.

I honestly think he is just as bad a defender as Harden if not worse. He has no IQ whatsoever.

 

The only reason to start is giving even more spacing and another option on offense for the starting line up ..

At this point right now, TJones is playing better. I have full confidence DMo will eventually take the spot from Jones.

Let's be honest, the GARM was quiet after the Spurs win but everyone is panicking after another lost. Keep your head on straight, TJones has been outplaying DMo this past week and half abouts. That will more than likely change.

I dont know whats going on with DMO . I think they gave him too much run when he first got back... but now they are not giving him enough. His defense and physicality has looked much better these last few games and it is clear that he is rounding into form. No, he wont be back 100 % for a while, but once he is truly ready for ~20 min a game you have to start the guy.

Capela is looking really good, but offensively he is soo limited right now. TJ is TJ , when he is aggressive he'll get you hustle points and maybe pick up a few weakside blocks , but will also be a blackhole if he gets the ball and probably isn't the smartest team defender.

TLDR ... DMO has been looking better with each game so give him some more damn minutes. I'd say start him and bring Capela off as first big. I know he coaching staff likes the DMO and dwight pairing because they start every second quarter with them. It's time now to either do that in the 4th quarter as well , or just bite the bullet and start DMO.
