disagree. Mchale was the perfect coach a few years back when we were the youngest team in the league. Once the roster had contending level talent, he just was never going to cut it. I could see that a mile away.

How is going after a marquee free agent and striking out a mistake? Signing Dwight to the max, every gm in the league outside of Orlando would have done it at the time.

It may be beyond their control. I keep saying this and it bears repeating. I don't see a quality, experienced head coach taking over in the middle of the season. It would be too chaotic. No one knows what this team will look like a month from now. Certainly two months from now after the trade deadline(even in good years, Morey makes a deal). Dwight could be shipped out if the team is still hovering around .500 and going nowhere. Morey himself could get canned if they fail to make the playoffs or get rolled in Round 1.

The soonest you'll get a big name coach to agree to this job will be the offseason. At that point, they'll know what kind of situation they're coming into and will potentially have control over player personnel decisions should Les demote or fire Morey.

This is not JB's fault because we all now he is inexperienced and incompetent.

I blame all this on Le$ and Morey!
If you want to win championship, how can you expect McHale's assistant to make it?

They still think the coach is not that important!!! wow.

I dont fully agree. I fully understand a coach can make or break a team, but there comes a point where its a contest of ego's.

I really appreciate the Warriors. You can place any of the Warriors on the Rockets and they will flounder.
The Warriors play as a team. The Spurs play as a team. The Rockets? It all depends on if Harden wants to show up that night or not. Harden is the problem on this team. If there isnt a coach that can fix it, send him out the door to ruin other teams.

That is 100% on Morey - he wanted to put Finch on the staff, and Adelman wanted to pick his own staff.

Morey ran Adelman out of town.

No, the coaches they might want probably won't take the job this season, and for all their big talk about "money not being an issue with Mister Alexander", I honestly don't think they want to pay two large coaching salaries this season (McHale's + Whomever's) when this season's goal of a championship has clearly been scrubbed by our slow start plus other teams' dominance.

A new coach could help shape the team the way he wants. Instead of trying to just get average three point shooters.

Coach won't change anything..when your 2 "Superstars" neither have the will or heart to do what's necessary to win..

It is just a question of time. We will get a new coach. Patience.

I just do not trust those two honchos a lot, they keep making grave mistakes and bandaid and bandaid times again.

These last two losses have been the coach's fault. The players were playing hard enough to win both games. JB didnt put the right combinations on the floor and didnt call timeouts when needed. All this talk about getting your won stats .... why the hell is TJ on the floor. Recently he has fought for rebounds with Capela nearly causing a turnover both times.

TJ, Brewer have been playing out of control. Sit their asses down until they hopefully recover.

Publicly committing to JB and not even considering bringing in somebody new was a mindless decision.

On the flip side, who would take this trainwreck of a job? And who could reasonably implement a system mid-season and have a modicum of success that isn't already coaching an NBA team? JBB wasn't an optimal choice for head coach but I doubt anyone was breaking down the office doors trying to get this job mid season when it would almost certainly be open next season.

All things considered, JBB is doing a decent job but the players need to buy in and play with more focus and effort. It's not enough to win it all but at least we wouldn't look like such a joke losing to teams like NOP.

We need a new coach with a real offensive system, who commits to defense, who can juggle egos but isn't afraid to sit people (Harden) when they are detrimental to the team. JBB probably isn't that guy. But I doubt we had any real options the moment we gave McHale that extension.
