This is my way to vent about the rockets -

    Let's compare offenses.

    San Antonio Spurs

    Golden State Warriors

    An example of our offense
    Houston Rockets

Granted, it's amazing that Harden makes so many of these, but our offense is God Awful. Zero Off-Ball Movement, no purposeful passing, tons of one-on-one and too much dribbling.

Where have the amazing Rick Adelman days gone...

At the end of the day, we need to MOVE AROUND with a purpose. I believe the reason our coaches went to "Read and React" is basically because Morey concluded that "a broken play generates the highest PPP". Read and React only works when it isn't completely predictable. I was able to call exactly what was going to happen on just about our last 5 possessions. When you watch good offenses, you are usually surprised on occasion with what develops.

If I'm guarding the Rockets, it's ridiculously simple to defend. Because we are "Read and React", our players go into drive and kick or pick and roll ~50% of the time. The other 50% is an iso or purposeless ball movement. We need some semblance of structure if we are going to get anywhere with this team.

This isn't even going into how bad our team is at simply recognizing good shots. We take so many unbalanced, rushed threes... Bounce Passes in the lane, lazy passes and lazy screens around the perimeter...

If Harden stops making those off the dribble 3s, our offense will truly be putrid.

Teams are gonna realize he's slow a step right now

I really hope that our next franchise player is a less ball hog and an off the ball player more.

I accept early Ray Allen or a talented PF.
