i like that it is hard, it will mean that we have earned it if we make it. We beat the second best team yesterday and we lost to a good team today(Pelicans have had a lot of injuries)

Roclets didn't play much "Morey Ball" against the Spurs. When we saw "Morey Ball" tonight it wasn't that effective especially in the 2nd half...Beverly had a stint of 3's and then started bricking shots cuz he didn't know when to stop. These guys are still in an "IDENTITY CRISIS"..caught between playing like they did last night against the Spurs "very little to no Morey Ball" mode versus tonight which was CHUCK some 3's again which kills momentum. When the Rockets fully realize they are not the Golden State Warriors and that the Warriors have stolen MOREY BALL and have perfected the system at least they know they can do the normal things like they did against the spurs. This was truly a TRAP GAME on sooo many levels all the way down to system philosophy. Old habits are obviously hard to BREAK. JB gotta be more reactive and call timeouts sooner when other teams start to make runs also.

 

He does not rebound well, that is why you pair him with a big who does.....

He is an adequate rebounder, but will probably never be elite.....

Rebounds don't win ball games.

Cmon DD. we all love Dmo but he isn't going to solve our problems. His biggest weakness is still the teams biggest weakness...... defense.

He's a nice player should def be getting more minutes but to act like he's the savior and by playing 30 min a night is going to change that.... No way.

We blew this game I can honestly say that. 1-11 with 5 points to close it out, up by as much as 9 in the 4th leading the whole damn game. We choked simple as that we don't need to blame the coaches the players or nothing it on everyone. All the needed to do was score 3 more points in a 6 min span? That should never be a problem for an NBA team let Alone one with JH DH Ty Ariza ext.

To much talent to just be losing these close games to bad squads.

Only thing I can say is that Orlando and Pelicans have given us trouble the last two years but even that we should have won.

4-1 against top 4 in west can't lose to these lottery teams as often as we do.

This tema should be 23-9 or 20-12 at worst. We've blown atleast 5-7 games so far.

Time to buckle down we need to go 34-16 to get to 50 wins which should be good enough for 4th seed. That needs to be the goal.

If you're gonna blame threes you have to blame Morey. The Rockets need a real coach and Morey needs to stay out of his way. Other than that there needs to be a few trades.

 

This is just not true at all, he plays very good positional defense.

Harden was putrid those last few possessions.

Complete ISO's dribbling air out the ball, chucking 3's and a critical turnover

We need more ball movement, simple as that. It becomes to easy to defend just watching Harden dribble the air out the ball for 20s while others are stagnant and dont know what to do

 

Earned it if we make it? It means at best we'll barely qualify for the postseason and get knocked out by the Warriors or Spurs in Round 1. The goal isn't to just eek into the playoffs. It's to win a damn title. The way to do that is to match if not surpass last year's win total. Fat chance of that happening now. The Rockets may not even reach the 2013 team's 45 wins(the year before Dwight signed here).

And the Pelicans are a good team? Are you kidding me? Yes, they've had injuries. But they're still 10-20 after this win. That's a lousy basketball team.

 

I agree. When Dwight looks liks he don't give a damn then put Dmo in. At least you know he will play hard instead of Dwight who picks and chooses when he wants to play which is disgusting considering the amount of money he makes.

 

Such a Rollercoaster season.

Don't worry about him. He is the biggest Houston apologist going around.

Whenever we lose, he uses the same cycle of excuses,
1. It's early in the season, give the team time to mesh.
2. The other team caught fire, nothing we could do.
3. We usually struggle against bottom teams, loss means nothing.
4. Opposition are better than their record suggests.
5. Jones sucks.

go up big with team ball, lose a double digit lead downplaying to iso ball, lose the game
rockets stayed true to form. they go up by 10 pts and think the game is over

evne lawson had it going when the offense was in motion. revert back to stagnant-stand at the 3pt line-iso offense and they lose.

 

defence usually wins titles, defence will win you games when you have bad shooting nights

 

This team is worse than that "Harden + Asik + Parsons + Lin + Delfino" team.
