i would love nothing more than to have d-mo hit hook shots any time our offense dies but he's losing minutes to t-jones because TJ is in better shape and any time we roll out with dwight and capela we are a nightmare lineup for the opposing team. having said that i do think d-mo is our PF if we trade jones.

and absolutely we could beat the warriors if we played like this tonight against them. they scored like 89 points today? our defense tonight bothered the best defensive team in the league, grind it out and maybe harden hits some clutch shots and who knows. be a little optimistic.

Not to criticize the team after a big win, but hoping Harden hits clutch shots isn't a consistent/winning strategy.

What do you think Curry does every other game... Your stars are what give you an edge in close games. James is one of the best. I'll take those odds..

Not to be a downer but it proved that we are extremely lazy and choose when we want to show up.

The defense was turned up a notch.

The rotations were pretty bad, as i say i cant go too much into roasting jb because something deeper is happening with why Brewer is getting minutes over Thorton..

Rockets should generally just post up dmo a lot ESPECIALLY when we get stagnant and get into a turnover fest.

The spurs start of thr game was horrific, missed first 7 shots and turned the ball over a lot over the game. Not sure how much of it was defense...

Very surprised down the 4th they tried to go to Duncan everytime instead of LA.

We got lucky with DH and Cap making fts..
Happy about this particular win but makes you mad also because this is how good we know they can play but just don't show up. Like Harden said after Sac game how he wasnt in attack mode or something..

We seem to match up with them well but dont forget they played poorly.

DO NOT AGREE. This was well known for a long time, tonight didn't reveal this.

I get up at 3 AM to watch the ROCKETS play live, so more often than not it doesn't hurt.

The team defense last night was the best I've seen in a very long time. When their focused and playing with energy they can beat anyone and it all starts on the defensive side of the ball.
What's a head scratcher is why does JBB keep playing Brewer?

You're not a Rockets fan. Rockets get a HUGE win, and you b*ch about your favorite player not getting enough minutes?? Get outta here....

Your hate is uncalled for. He's clearly upset at JBs rotations which is very understandable

Tonight proved that J.B. is not much better than McHale, but the team just committed for once. It also proved that Brewer is getting preferential treatment. It also didn't prove anything for the future, no guarantees, no turn of the corner or whatever. TJ off the bench is working out though, Terry showed flashes of being the first PG off the bench instead of Lawson and Ariza's amazing still.

I don't understand this line of thinking.

They shot 40% in that stretch which was worse then there average.

By lucky, what are you referring too?

People didnt like McHales rotations, Adelmans rotations, and Jeffs rotations, Rudys ritations etc etc.

Fans never like a coachs rotations no matter how great the Coach. But coaches are better at coaching than any fan out there so I'll lean their way.

I like the way Bickerstaff has gotten this team to focus better and its beginning to salvage this whole season and actually give us some hope. Cant argue about a coach when he win, its foolish.

Brewers a NCAA champ, scored 51 pts in a game and was a key contributor to saving our season last year so I believe he isnt garbage. Watch when the Rickets truly hit their stride, Brew will be a key cog.

Rockets played great defense last night!!! BUT a lot of that had to do with matchup. The Spurs play two bigs which allowed Houston to comfortably play Dwight and Clint together. For example the magic have Vucevic and Tobias Harris playing together and Tobias is gonna be a tough cover for Clint because he spends a lot of his time on the perimeter. When teams go small we can't have both bigs out there. So yes the matchup played right into our hand and they played amazing defense. But to expect no less than this is a bit much. When Clint is off the court interior defense (mostly bc the perimeter players can't keep their guy in front of them) and rebounding are not very good. Ty and TJones were bright spots. These guys playing well is definetly something that can continue. Good win!

Veteran leadership with playoff experience at the point guard position was key to last year's run.
