Not one word about the Rockets, any Rockets player, coach, or even the ticket salesman. Even more, not one word about basketball. I mean if you want to discuss violent acts, why not start another thread and compare Markieff throwing a towel to Kermit Washington bashing in Rudy T's eye socket? At least that's Rockets related. Or take it to the hangout. Here's the deal. Markieff (and his brother) is a punk. The NBA is full of punks. There's some punks on our team. Punks come in all colors and sizes and they wear all sorts of uniforms. We don't care how they became punks here. We care about the Rockets. Punks on long-term, greater than rookie scale contracts are a risk of becoming a negative trade value to the team by being punks and exhibiting punkish behavior. We don't trade for punks and owe them big money for multiple years. We may take a chance on a punk if their contract is ending or we can sign them for a very low, inconsequential salary. So, figure it out. Markieff will either get waived after a buyout. Or he'll get traded to a different team than the Rockets who doesn't care that he's a punk. Or he may get traded here after he makes the next 3 years of his contract non-guaranteed so we can waive his punk ... without owing him long-term money.
