I don't think that Harden deserves to be a starter but he's a Rocket in the end so I hope he makes it. The biggest disgrace is Kyrie who has only played TWO games over Lowry. Horrible. And look how many votes Rose got. Disgusting. The NBA NEEDS to take the vote away from the fans, since all star games are still counted in contracts and we use them to judge carreers.
People should compare Westbrook's stats with Harden's thus far. They're closer than you think, and Harden has a better TS% for starters. Just saying that people seem to be very myopic as NBA fans overall, and the general consensus is that Westbrook is having a great season and Harden is having an awful season, which is pretty funny when you look at the numbers. Yes I know RW's team has more wins, but he also has KD. It's just funny how much of this stuff is built by media narratives.
I'm fine Harden not getting voted in, but fwiw: For December, these are Harden's stats 12 Games 8-4 W/Ls 27.4 PPG .457 FG% .392 3G% .611 TS% 7.2 APG 5.3 RPG on 36.0 MPG (vs 40mpg prior, significantly less mpg) With a drop in DRtg from 108 to 102
The rest of the NBA fans too for not voting for him just because he doesn't play defense and started slow
Majority of us here don't vote for some reason. James is number two in scoring this year, he deserves to be a starter because there's no better shooting guard.
The same people talking about how the NBA got it right with Harden being so low are the same people laughing about how dumb it is that Lin is so high hmmm....
Yeah, he's a better 3 pt shooter for sure. We knew that. fwiw: that's 8 games. And only main difference is he's getting much more 3s to shoot. Over 10 3FAs per game. vs his normal 7/gm, on slightly better than his average % (over they last two years)
Thought Iggy and Batum were both 3's..whoops. Is Batum the starting 2 guard at Charlotte now? (Didn't get a chance to watch the game the other night)
Let's say this holds up. 12 spots. West starters Curry Westbrook Kobe Durant Griffin Bench forwards Draymond - shoo in considering how good the Warriors are. Kawhi - shoo in as well, best defender on leagues best defense. Tim Duncan - legacy pick, defense, and need some centers Anthony davis - fringe pick, probably gets voted in over Dwight and cousins. Rockets don't deserve two guys playing. 500 ball. Bench guards Cp3 - likely gets in on reputation alone. Harden Klay Thompson - if Warriors continue to dominate, they'll get 3 guys on. Last pick is tough. You have 3 guys who can play center green, td, Griffin. I'm gonna have to say anthony davis gets the last spot. Snubs : Lillard, Aldridge (barely)
Runner up MVP: 27.4/5.7/7.0/1.9/0.7/4.0 .440/.375/.868 TS% .605 Last 27 games of this season: 30.0/6.0/6.9/1.7/0.7/4.6 .441/.365/.865 TS% .603
Cast my ballot, I'm the worst Rockets fan. Think the fans mostly got it right, aside from Kobe, Wade - who is having a good season, so it's arguable, Griffin or Draymond is a toss up.
You must have the exact same brain as James Harden. I'm pretty sure he also thinks his ppg should be the sole reason why he should be considered a top 5 player. And that is exactly what is wrong with James Harden and is precisely why he will never win a ring as the man unless he pulls a Hakeem on us and converts to Islam.
Not really, Westbrook and Curry are both have ridiculous years. Harden, while good, doesn't touch their numbers -- plus they're on league leading teams.
