Where did you get the info that Pau isn't returning to the Bulls? (If true, then I'm all in on a Pau trade.)
Malakas, I really don't care about Snell. You are getting way too salty. My main point is about Ariza. He's just not very good, I really don't know how else to say it. He is not a good shooter, he's had two above average season's from three, in 10+ seasons. Ariza benefits the most from Harden's downhill style and gets at least four open looks a game from three, he bricks all of them. And then to top it off, he has brainfarts and dribbles the air out of the ball and launches a horrendous contested mid range brick. This is before we even discuss his disgusting inability to finish through contact, or at the rim consistently for that matter. Whether you want to accept it or not, his defense has regressed significantly this season, along with the rest of the team.
Did you read what I said? I do watch Bulls games, nearly not as many as Houston games. The quality of looks is quite comparative.
Sigh.. He said he will opt out (if he keeps playing like that). Then he whined publicly about his post touches. His bro publicly said that they have disccussed between themselves about playing together again and it would be a dream come true. So Pau is not happy there, and he is opting out. Pau is adamant that he will NOT come off the bench. That's why Hoidberg said they have not even discussed it about bringing him off the bench and put Noah-Mirotic in the starting lineup.
Sure and sure. Ariza is not perfect. He has many flaws. That doesnt' make him any less valuable. If we try to put in Snell in place of Ariza in this team we are simply screwed. And where I care the most is that it will be burning our most valuable tradeable asset on fire. (i dont' consider Capella to be an asset). Premier 3 point shooters who also are elite versatile defenders dont' grow on trees. Not even 3+D wings who are not elite shooters and elite defenders grow on trees. Snell is not a 3+D wing. Ariza is one. We have HARDEN on this team. The wing next ot him must be a) VERSATILE b) at least very good if not elite defender. Your wing must be able to guard from sg to pf if you want to hide Harden in thsi team and have some kind of championship aspirations. OR at least be a elite shooter. If you decide to go all out on offence and be the worst defensive team of all time. Snell is not an elite shooter.
Alright, this is a fair post and one I can get around. Repped. You are definitely correct about the class of player we need beside Harden, I just don't think Ariza is that guy. He's dropped off badly on both fronts. But each to their own.
was he ever? He is though a capable 3 point shooter. There is a in between from elite and premier to good to average to crap. Snell isn't premier 3 point shooter btw. There's a huge speculation that what forced Chicago's hand to go out and look for trades is that Dunleavy will be out for all the year. He had a setback announced some weeks ago. And judging by Chicago's track record when it comes to injuries when they say "a setback that can take 2 more months" it usually is out for the year. I think in the end it will be Kevin Martin+ some small incentive like Rudez for Taj Gibson. Now if they dare to trade Noah it will be time to get pop corn and enjoy the imploding. Ariza may be traded but his trade value is high right now. You can probably take back for him, good young talent like Cameron Payne + McGary. Not Taj Gibson. I trust Morrey to know that he won't do such a bad trade.
Let's be honest about Ariza - both his 3PT Shooting (lowest in about 4-5 years) and Defense (I mean...he let Kobe blow by and dunk on him) have severely regressed this year. I think Ariza + Brewer are big reasons for our mediocre play this year. In 2014-15, both of these guys were clicking. I would not be surprised/upset if Ariza is shipped out. I balked at the thought in the Offseason, but I think Morey can easily replace the current status of Ariza (PJ Tucker, for instance).
Aces on this, malakas. No TA and we're looking to get into the Ben Simmons sweeps. Brew-Taj? I could see that. Please no _______ for Kieff.
SUNS get Brewer and Terrence Jones PISTONS gets Markieff Morris ROCKETS gets Brandon Jennings (expiring, might still be able to play) and Devin Booker Tweak as needed?
The Suns are high on Booker. He was recently moved into the starting lineup I believe. PJ Tucker would be a more realistic move and probably a better fit for us right now.
Lmao it seemed solid until you threw in Booker to the Rockets for no reason. The dude is a lottery pick who is shooting lights out. Dumping Brewer and getting a expiring in return is enough to ask for by trading Jones. If anybody is getting an asset, it should be the Pistons for taking on Markieff and giving up an expiring. Brewer, Jones, Hou 2nd to Suns Markieff, Cotton, PHX 2nd to Pistons Jennings, Toliver, Fraizer to Rockets Lawson, Den 2nd to Blazers We dump Brewer, Lawson and get 2 vet expirings who can shoot in Jennings, Toliver and a filler in Fraizer for the price of Jones and two 2nd's. I think that would be pretty solid. Beverley / Jennings / Frazier Harden / Thornton / Terry Ariza / McDaniels / Dekker Capela / Toliver / Harrell Howard / Motie
