I was remarking about Pops trying it against the small ball lineup, not to get Bogut off the floor.

I hope Pops get everything that is coming to him...

This is the same ******* griping about the Warriors because, as he says, 3 pointers are "not basketball" last week (just like Nick Saban b****ing about how no-huddle offenses were unfair and dangerous) then used the Hack-a-D'andre on the Clippers all night on Friday.

    Because, you know, that's basketball!

You know what's not basketball, other than the Hug-a-D? Tanking to get Duncan, but you did it and are famous because of it, so be grateful bro.

Hey, can you give a brother a link? I'd love to read that.

fwiw: when the 3s were being discussed and introduced to the NCAAs, Bobby Knight was arguing against it. But likewise proceeded to implement it prolifically, saying essentially, "alright fine, not like I don't have shooters to recruit from out of the corn fields.

SAS across the Duncan era progressively up 3 fgas and the big three age, but not by that much. And this year they are back down to mid-late 00s levels.

Hack Bogut they go small with Green at center and Iguodala will make those free throws against the Rockets because it is the Rockets.

The worst FT shooter in that lineup is Iggy and hacking him in the middle of a game would be crazy.

Not sure what your persistence is about. My post was tongue-in-cheek wrt the OP thread and how aelliott provided intriguing math to ponder regarding the small-ball lineup and fouling Iggy. Based on aelliott's math, one could say that SAS might have the only team capable of achieving the averages of success. After thinking that, I just wanted to use the idea as an opportunity to practice my dislike for Pops/SAS. I have no real thoughts of Pops actually doing it.

    This is a start.

I think you also pick your poison. Teams/coaches used to do this all the time. First guy is pick would be Draymond. Let him score a lot. Their offense rolls when he is creating in multiple ways. Let him score -'or shoot - but not pass. This means hard doubles on the pick and rolls and when they get it to Draymond at the top of the key as they often do, don't let him have his Choice of open shooters at the 3, layups, jump shots. Just give him that jump shot n

Bad part is you're playing 3 on 4 at that point. If you don't cover him he's driving to the hoop for an easy layup. You come late to help, he throws an alley oops to the guy the defender rotated off of or to the right corner for a 3. You see it happen game after game. Curry is awesome, but green is what makes them one of the best teams of all time so far. You can't cover this team. Green always makes the right pass, his court vision is like a point guard in a centers body with the mobility to get anywhere on the floor he wants. It's ridiculous.

Let's not even talk about iggy or klay.

Golden State are one injury away from being middle of the rung (very very good but not elite). I mean, that's the case with any team.

It's just a matter of time before Curry's ankles buckle again...
