I never said he wasn't a good player. I've stated several times that him and Jones makes a formidable PF combo when healthy. So let's not start fabricating around here.

So you're admitting that you overrate Dmo's potential then huh?

Again Jones has out scored, out rebounded and beat out Dmo for playing time since they've been in a Rockets uniform. Those are facts not fabrications.

Of course if they trade DMo instead Jones it wouldn't make sense to you. You're a Dmo homer. If they trade any one of them Morey will make sure it benefits the team. You would know that if you were a true Rockets fan.

Dude, again there is no "Jones fans" here, only Rocket fans. I promise, Jones is not Asian, Jones has no following outside of Rocket fans.

You are becoming very Tinman like with this Jones hate charade, calling people Jones fans, saying people are going crazy for him, calling people delusional, saying people are conceding etc.

Now we're resorting to hypotheticals that won't happen and wanting to know what I would do?

Of course Jones landed out of bounds. I never disputed that. I've been arguing about what he did AFTER he landed out of bounds. Since the ball was still live, he should've attempted to get back in bounds and put a body on Zeller (who was alone under his own basket). Instead, he turned his back to the court, flexed his arms, and strutted in front of the Rockets' bench. Totally unacceptable.

It may seem nit picky, but losing your focus like that can be the difference between winning and losing a championship. Let's not forget about game 6 of the 2013 finals between the Spurs and Heat. With the Spurs up by 3 with 8 seconds left in the game, Lebron missed a 3 pointer. Bosh grabbed the rebound and passed the ball to Ray Allen, who hit the game-tying 3. The Heat would win in overtime, force a game 7, and ultimately win the title.

After Bosh grabbed the rebound, if any of the Spurs would have had the presence of mind to foul him and make him shoot free throws, the Spurs would've won the title.

Think of it as the same as Vince Young, people who GREATLY overrate the player's ability, I don't care why they do it. For whatever reason, there's a small group of Rockets fans that have lost their damn minds when it comes to Terrence Jones. I don't know why, I don't care why. For whatever reason they vastly overrate him and every time he has a good game the board goes nuts with the same people over and over again.

If I'm sounding condescending it's because the PF debate was settled quite a while ago yet some people won't let it go. It's annoying. Fortunately there's probably only a few months left of this madness, I just don't have the tolerance for it I once did.

I truly hope that Jones goes on to have a long and prosperous career coming off the bench for some team for a long time once he moves on from Houston so it's not like I have anything against him, it's just his fanbase within the Rockets fanbase that is super annoying. They make up a tiny fraction of the fanbase, but they are always super loud and far removed from reality.

Your flawed straw-man of comparing Lin/Harden to T-Jones/D-mo is pretty hilarious because the gap between Harden & Lin is miles larger than the gap between T-Jones and D-mo, any casual fan could tell you that just by looking at their career stats which by the way slightly favor TJ. It's pretty funny that you claim to be unbiased between D-Mo & T-Jones yet that comparison just completely destroys that claim right there.

I root for any player wearing a Houston Rockets jersey to play well, I enjoy when D-mo has a good game just as much as I enjoy when TJ puts up a good game, I just get irked when someone who claims to be a fan of a team constantly bashes another player on that team yet fail to do the same for the player they like.

T-Jones is a good player and D-mo is one as well, there is no evidence that shows that one is FAR and away more superior than the other. So please drop the whole "I'm an unbiased fan" shtick and atleast concede you're a D-Mo fan like that openlayup guy, atleast he's an honest troll.

Except nobody is going crazy and popping champagne. What you and Hollic will never comprehend is that you two are creating your own make believe enemies. Jones not needing to be traded ASAP just because you hate him with every breath does not make you a Jones only fan. Stop creating a narrative to give yourself someone to fight against.

Yeah you're nitpicking at it best. He seen Beverley secure the rebound and knew the Hornets would foul because of how much time left in the game.

Hey lol that didn't happened so why bring up the Spurs and Heat championship game.

You are a joke. Jokes are funny. Thinking about your head exploding if that did happen is like Seinfeld and Larry David in the writers room thinking of how hilarious it would be if George worked for the Yankees. You are that ridiculous of a characature at this point. Please never change. Stay golden.

Here you go fabricating again. If you didn't care why are you on every Rockets forum arguing this same mute point. And even on those forums, they're not hyping up Jones like that. Now you do twist as such because of your agenda and your love for Dmo. That small fan base is pulling for both to be successful in a Rockets uniform.

LOL, I'm just going to end this here so that you can get back to your champagne, enjoy the next few months if it lasts that long, then things will be sane again.

It truly is pointless to even engage you guys. Hopefully this time next year everyone will be on the same page and there won't be this stupidity any longer.

Except the Hornets didn't immediately foul. Kemba Walker first tried to steal the ball and failed. Then he fouled.

What if Walker had managed to steal the ball? It would've been a dunk for Zeller b/c instead of getting in bounds to defend the rim, Jones was peacocking in front of the Rockets bench.

Because as much as you guys want to trivialize it, losing your focus during a game is a big deal.

I could see talking about that if he truly projected as a "lesser Howard", but this is a really young bench quality guy who just made an awesome play in a clutch moment. I'm not going to sweat him flexing a bit afterwards. After all, how many times is he going to make a big play like that in his career? Probably not THAT many.

I used to follow the Knicks in the 90s and I remember Kurt Thomas, a young power forward who was in his third season when he joined the team. The dude was already on his third team by then.

Everyone agreed he had the physical skills to be in the NBA, but the guy just could not stop picking up dumb fouls. Some questioned his bball IQ.

It took Thomas another few seasons before he figured out how to stay on the court. And in the latter half of his career, he was a solid and consistent role player.

Anyways I'm not necessarily saying this is T. Jones' trajectory, or that he's a definite keeper, but it sometimes does take young guys time to really figure it out. It tought to pass ultimate judgement on a 23 year old big, especially one that does show great potential, albeit in spurts.

You said this exact same thing last year and the year before. But since this is the last year of his contract you're bound to get it right finally. And of all people I know you're not talking about POINTLESS lol. Dude you've been kicked off quite a few sports forums with you constant arguments. If anything those experiences should have humbled you a bit wouldn't you say?

Again both players are valuable to the Rockets and if one or both get traded, Morey will find suitable replacements for them.

More than nit picky because it doesn't make sense at all. The ball isn't even in the vicinity of those two after the block. He clearly sees the ball going away from him and is secured by Beverly. Not too hard to comprehend that when it's clear cut on film. What if this what if that. All your doing is trying to make something out of nothing and it's making you look completely clueless. You bring up something that didn't even happen so that's irrelevant. Great play TJ from start to finish. Need to see more plays that like, all of it including the end. Complete focus
